Not a bad course but overall experience underwhelming
This is not a bad course to play if you need a tee time. But after playing it when it was brand new many years ago, I was looking forward to seeing it again. The Blue + Red nines were underwhelming from a course layout perspective. Fairways were good but soggy from poor drainage. Greens full of ball marks and slow. Very mixed communication with staff ranging from good (Head Pro, Front Gate) to poor (cart girl, starter, 19th hole. I expected more out of this place since the course is part of a over 55 community.
Carillon
Fairways and greens are in good shape.Course drained well after a night of rain. Pace was good. Practice area was nice.
Rain check policy
Only played 5 holes yesterday because of thunderstorms and rain, course was in good condition except for the sand traps lots of standing water.
However my issue is with either the course or golf now?
Can’t get a straight answer, I went into the Pro Shop and asked for a rain check, the person that helped me said I needed to contact Golf Now ( good luck with that)!!!
So I guess I pay $166 $’s to play 5 holes.
I will be back on Monday to play and pay again, however not using GOLF NOW again!!!
Great course. Could use some TLC.
I haven't played this course in a number of years. Unfortunately, it is not in the condition I remember. Fairways and tee boxes were fine, but the cart paths are rough, cracked, unsightly, and almost every putting green is absolutely cratered with unrepaired divots. This made putts unpredictable and hard to read. I pay half the price to golf my local course, which is a 9 hole sure, but I don't get shaken on unpaved/cracked cart paths for 4 hours or have to putt as if i'm playing on a hail damaged hood. I don't mind paying more, but please make me feel as if the money is going somewhere beneficial.
Good value
Course was in good condition, crowded but pace of play was ok. Cart paths could use some improvement.
Always fun to play here
The course was well manicured. Easy to find balls. Carts in good condition. Only bummer was the time of shut down of the halfway house grill when playing a twilight round. Staff was friendly.
