Golfer Reviews
Fun
Good discounts/price. Great condition. Challenging. All levels of play. Recommended
Open the Grill
Picked the course as we knew it is always good golf but was hoping to see the grill open as it was a beautiful day to sit out and enjoy post round pleasantries. Unfortunately the grill was closed. Wish they would have let us know when we made the reservation.
Clowns running a circus
My buddies and I got a twilight tee time 2 hours before sunset, not expecting much at all. I would have been happy getting in anything close to 9-holes. After already paying, the starter informed us that there were several leagues ahead of us on both the front nine and the back nine and that we would not be able to skip holes and that the pace of play was very slow. Fine, this happens, whatever. We we’re also denied a refund, so we reluctantly teed off. By the time we were on the 8th hole, roughly 2 hours had elapsed and while it was still light out, the ranger insisted the carts be brought into the shop in 5 minutes. We were on the fairway at this point so we decided to quickly finish up. By the time I got to the green(7 minutes after first notice), the same Ranger, DENNIS decided a screaming match was warranted and threatened to call the police if I didn’t pick my ball up off the green. Classless course, terribly run.
Beware of drainage holes that are uncovered
Great course and round overall. Just beware of drainage holes that are uncovered. I lost a ball out of nowhere in the rough on #15 near the right bunker. Perhaps it's an early Spring condition. Hopefully the black plastic tube openings will be covered up.
Deerfield Golf Course
Deerfield is one of my favorite courses. It’s always in great condition and well maintained. The only improvement I would suggest is for the ranger to come around sometimes to insure the pace of play is maintained otherwise the course is fabulous to play on.👍👍👍

Nice value
Nice clean grounds crew should not cut grass close to players
Excellent Condition
The course was in excellent condition for the middle of April. The greens were very hard. A wedge from 100 yards out was barely leaving a ball mark. Overall the course was very good. The starter was very friendly and engaging but the pro shop staff couldnt have been colder. I probably won't play Deerfield again this year just because of my experience in the club house.
Great updates
I have played this course many times in the past, but try to avoid it when scheduling time. I ran over there to play a quick 18 holes and was very impressed by the staff. The course overall quality. There was a thunderstorm delay they did offer me a refund for a replay. They were very nice people overall.
The updated drainage and reshaping of the course were good. A 20 minute rain delay course was still excellent condition and drained well.
I will come back to play again soon.
Good value
It is a pretty fun course and assuming no slow groups in front of you it can move really fast which I like. Some of the holes run next to 294 which makes me nervous using my driver.
