Average course with premium price
The inky thing that stands out here are the conditions of the greens. Every other aspect is average at best.
Weekday pace of play is slow as can be with walkers everywhere . This is based off 3 rounds there not a single instance. Grounds crews really could care less on who’s on the tee box , where they’re located and you basically have to play around them.
All in all better courses for around the same money with much better experience in my opinion.
Amazing
Deerfield is the best course for your money. I've played 100 dollar plus courses and Deerfield is just as challenging.

Enjoyed the round
Got a great price on GolfNow. Probably because they were working on a couple holes. Good pace, fast greens. Wish I could get that price more often.
Course is great, rangers make it worse
Nothing really to speak on about the course. The greens were rolling fast and the conditions were good. Jeff, a starter, wasn’t that great. This was the first time a starter made me tee off without my partner because he was 2 minutes late so they instead didn’t let him play 1 and drove him out to me when he got there. Then, it was 6:40 and we were waiting on the 9th tee box and he comes over and yells at us that the carts have to be in at 6:45. He didn’t let us play the last hole coming in and then he further yelled at us when we got into the parking lot. Meanwhile, people are pulling up with their carts at 7:05 and he didn’t say anything. Jeff ruined the day and round and I wish someone would talk to him. Golf is supposed to be relaxing but that is very hard when Jeff is yelling at the golfers and telling them not to come back.
Exceptional golf course.
First time playing here with my buddy and we really enjoyed it. Course was in immaculate condition and the only course in recent memory that has that second cut of grass on the fairway (intermediate rough I believe it’s called) which is just so lovely. It gets a lil more tight on the back 9, but no complaints other than that. Can’t beat those prices either.
Had to leave after 13 holes as the pace extremely slow.
Four hours for 13 holes is poor and no one was there to quicken the pace of play
Great Course - Great Value Near Chicago
We played Deefield on a Friday afternoon and it was a great experience. Great pace of place, great quality Tee Boxes, Fairway, and Greens. The carts have computers in therm. Really good course all around.
One bad apple spoils the bunch
Second time running into a 4some group of guys that insists on playing from the black tees, which is fine, but some of them were not consistent enough to hit from there. It's understandable when there is nowhere to go, but they were just slow. The worse part was us waiting on a par 3, and we hit as soon as they were off the green and out of sight. The ball went close to them about 20 ft from cart path. The last guy, obviously the slowest walked back to the ball and threw it in the water. It was total BS!!! They were already off!!! Surprisingly, they played much faster after that...go figure
