One of the best courses in the area

I’ve played several courses in the northern Chicago area from forest preserve to country club and Deerfield stands out amongst them all. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were immaculate. I expect some divots but they were hard to find on this course. The staff is incredibly friendly and made the experience that much better. The course layout provides enough ease for a beginner like myself but enough challenge for an experienced player. It’s long from any tee with well placed traps. I’m sad that I didn’t give this course a shot earlier in the season but will play it as much as I can before winter weather arrives.

Fun and challenging

This course is fun. It starts with a pretty wide par 4 then starts getting narrow making it ver challenging with water and some narrow fairways. The back side really opens up on some holes.

The conditions were great. Tee boxes are well taken care of and the greens were also in good shape.
