A good day.
Teed off behind a 4some that had played very little golf. Drove around them after 4th hole & rest of pace was average. Course was in good condition so overall a good day.

I have two kids that are really getting into golf. This is a great course for the price

walking only
This course does NOT have cart paths, and it does NOT drain well. Even though it was a perfect day, we had to walk through standing water on almost every hole.
Nice course
Bent grass nice greens. some tee areas rather thin, but no big deal. I would say play this course you will enjoy it.

Found a deal for $19 and played....
I couldn’t beat the price so I played it. My friends and I had banned this course this summer because the guy in the pro shop is in the wrong profession. He’s generally rude and unpleasant almost every time you go in.
The fairways and greens are watered and in decent shape. I would go back if I found another deal under 20 bucks. I’ll put up with the guy who runs the pro shop at that price..

Best Municple course for the money
For a park district course, I couldn't recommend this course enough. Yes it a bit "cookie cutter" and straight hand for the most part (back nine is a bit more different) But for sub $30 dollars (I got weekday 18/ w cart for $18.40 on Friday, $27 for weekend.) But it is SO well kept compared to most courses in the area. Especially with COVID19, seems most IL courses jacked up their prices so much I can play here comfortably 2-3 times vs 1 round at another course. Do not book when the area gets a lot of rain. Back nine is a natural flood plain and much of the course is underwater when we get 2-3 inches of rain. Despite this issue (this year not a problem being so dry). You'll never know it was underwater. Outstanding work Sycamore. you deserve it!
Sycamore Golf was delightful!
The course was in very good condition, the weather was excellent and the pace of play was very good.

Good Value
This course is good value for your money....not very challenging course, pretty flat no trouble to speak of...Great course for the average golfer....brought my friend she loved it.
Well kept muni
It's a straightforward design, but Sycamore more than makes up for the lack of wow factor with an excellent staff from grounds crew to pro shop to the bar. It's extremely well kept for a municipal course, the pace of play is very good and the bar is reasonably priced and extremely accommodating.
