Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club
About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Marengo Ridge Golf Course !
Had an pleasant time here. First time playing here and it was very well maintained The only problem was that the carts didn't have GPS..
Nice course out in the country
Took a ride up to Marengo which is a pleasant drive in the country. The course has some beautiful holes and was in great condition except for the sand traps which were hard and wet. Got a great $4.50 brat at the turn and stopped for a beer in the bar afterwards. There is no drinking water on the course, and the cart girl made several stops., but you need to bring some bottled water with you.
Course is fine but management needs to work on speeding the golfers pace of play.
Course was in good shape, it has some interesting holes, but the round was over 5 hours. I saw a ranger 1 time and he did nothing that I saw to help speed up play. That area needs improvement as this is the 2nd time in the past 3 weeks I played there and the round was terribly long.
While I’d say it’s OK to go there and play I would not recommend doing it on a weekend.
There is a reason why it is cheap
The layout was nice with some challenging holes however the greens were really beat up and the tee boxes were a mess. No one in our group was very complimentary of what we saw. It was a cheap price and we got a cheap product.
Slow play, no course management, traps were like rocks
Slow play, no course management, horrible traps, round took 51/2 hours on a Monday morning.
First time glad I found it
Awesome course esp for the money. I was not expecting it to be as nice and as well maintained as it was. The staff was great and very nice. The course was in great shape it wasn’t too hard wasn’t easy me and my friends will for sure play this course again.
Reasonably Priced Track
Nice little course which is very playable. A few quirky holes but overall a nice place to play.
Nice, but 5.5 hour round
Course was very nice. However, there was an outing booked, and it took forever to finish. Arrived at 12:45pm for a 1:05pm tee time, to find 30 people waiting in front of the clubhouse for a cart to be returned and get in line to tee off. Our 1:05 tee time ended up being 2:15, amd we didn't finish till 7:45. There was a wait ON EVERY SHOT. Great course, but way too many tee times booked way too close together. Greed can ruin a course.
I was charged twice by Golf Now and then charged again at the course, I am about to stop using GolfNow.
Great course to play with friends
Course is in really good condition and the course layout is somewhat challenging on certain holes .
