Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club
About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

First time glad I found it
Awesome course esp for the money. I was not expecting it to be as nice and as well maintained as it was. The staff was great and very nice. The course was in great shape it wasn’t too hard wasn’t easy me and my friends will for sure play this course again.
Reasonably Priced Track
Nice little course which is very playable. A few quirky holes but overall a nice place to play.
Nice, but 5.5 hour round
Course was very nice. However, there was an outing booked, and it took forever to finish. Arrived at 12:45pm for a 1:05pm tee time, to find 30 people waiting in front of the clubhouse for a cart to be returned and get in line to tee off. Our 1:05 tee time ended up being 2:15, amd we didn't finish till 7:45. There was a wait ON EVERY SHOT. Great course, but way too many tee times booked way too close together. Greed can ruin a course.
Fun Golf
Had a good time. Got caught in the rain but completed 14 holes. I like this course and you should give it a try.
I was charged twice by Golf Now and then charged again at the course, I am about to stop using GolfNow.
Great course to play with friends
Course is in really good condition and the course layout is somewhat challenging on certain holes .
Hard as a rock!!!!
With all the rain this spring, you would think the course would be green and rich BUT except for a few well groomed holes, grass was sparse, especially in the fairway……it’s always been hard and sparse in the summer but this spring’s start doesn’t bode well for the summer!!!!!
"Members" manage course play
Something happened at the start of the round that has never happened to me before. We had a 10:58 tee time. A four-some comes up and say were “members” we started on the back nine, so we have the tee. They hit and another four some shows up and say the exact same thing. It is now 11:10 and I’m talking with the 11;06 foursome and we think maybe we should be taking off from the back nine. I called the clubhouse and the women says the “members” started on the back nine, but we were to start on the front nine. She told me they had them down for an 11:22 tee time on the front nine, but they played so fast on the back nine. She told me not to worry they were fast players. They were not fast players for the front nine of this course took us 2 hours and 20 minutes. The only saving grace of this course is the greens were in great condition. The bunkers were a mixture of clay and small stone. The fairways had weeds and some bare patches. I will not be playing here again. This course is not managed from the clubhouse but the “members”.
