Nice layout slow play
Deer Creek is a nice course with a good layout.
Greens are good and fairways are wide
This course has a starter but no ranger so pace of play becomes an issue in nice weather about 4 1/2 hours to slow for me. But when it’s cool or weekdays this course is open.
Great winter conditions
Place was in amazing shape considering the time of year and they gave us a good price. Will be returning!
Good course for the money, usually slow play.
I've been here probably 8 to 10 times just because I live close. Nice course for the money, but very slow play. On the weekend you will be waiting on every hole. Booked a tee time, and was still waiting at least 20 minutes past my tee time to tee off. Took us about 5 hours to finish the round with no breaks and hitting as soon as it was safe. Have a hard time finishing this course in time if you go in the afternoon. It's not uncommon to see people leave after their first nine holes because they get tired of waiting. Seen it many times.
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve, and we are glad to see you rated the course conditions to be great during your game. Thank you for playing Deer Creek Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
One great value in the Chicagoland area
Deer Creek is a great value for the money. This course is in top condition from tee to green on every hole. The greens are excellent and roll true. These green are better then most public courses and some private courses. This course is open year round barring snow. Even in winter these green are better then some courses are in mid season. The course has five sets of tees that should accommodate golfers of all levels. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Many golfers travel from all over Chicago and Northwest Indiana to take advantage of this course.
Great south suburban course
Pace of play was good. The only problem I see at the course is lazy people not fixing their divots on the fairways, and not fixing their ball marks on the greens.
Southside gem
Course was in good shape. Greens rolled good, but had ball marks on most of them. Bunkers were not being raked, and many divots were not repaired on the fairways. Still a great course to play at.
South side gem
Deer Creek is always in great shape. The course is challenging, and has it's fair share of water and sand hazards, which make you plan the safest route to the greens. The only problem I see is people aren't fixing their ball marks on the greens. It only takes a few seconds to repair your marks . Still, a great place to play. Pace is good. And the staff are friendly.
Great Suburban gem
The course was in good shape. Greens were rolling good, but had many unrepaired ball marks. I guess some people don't think they're responsible for fixing their ball marks, but I'm sure they will complain when there is a ball mark in their line on the green. Just takes a few seconds to fix them. There were a few people on the course who need to learn golf etiquette. Still was a good day on the course.
