I wish I wasn't a hour away. Nice layout. Love the 4 challenging par 3's. Nice greens and very affordable prices. Will be back.
Good course for the money
Great experience. Pace of play was a bit slower than normal for a Saturday, but the course was in good condition. Golfers were extremely friendly. Staff was extremely friendly. The way the course is set up is there are regularly players from other holes shanking into your fairway. If you’re not in a rush and want to enjoy a course that is great value for the money paid, you’ll have a great time. Solid 4.5 stars
Pace of play
The course overall is a good track in well kept condition, but the pace of play is unbearable! They have a ranger, but it seems his only job is to check receipts. You will be playing 2 and a half hours per 9. Not worth the price of admission.

Deer Creek
Course in excellent shape since we haven’t had much rain in June. They water their fairways regularly. Some of the bunkers need attention, but you’re supposed to avoid those anyway,haha. Greens in great shape as well.
Local course
I play there regularly, and it's always in good condition. Greens roll good. Bunkers are ok, but need more attention. Recommend this course to anyone looking for a fun round.
Great Deal - Far from Chicago
We made the 40mile hike to Deer Creek to play this course. We were very hesitant due to the price and distance from the city. I am happy to report that it is a "Good" to "Average' course. With that being said, we got the weekday rate of $35, and it was really a steal. The course is actually in really good condition, with the Tee Boxes and Greens in really good condition. It's not an 'exciting' course and really far from the city.

The course was in good shape. Greens were rolling good. A few bunkers were void of any sand. Pace of play was good.

The course is in great shape. The greens were rolling good, but there were numerous ball marks that people failed to fix. I fix any ball mark I find on the greens as I play. Only takes a few seconds to fix a ball mark people. A few sand traps are still absent of sand, but the ones that do have sand aren't being raked by players, and there's rakes in the traps.
Conditions
For the amount of play this course gets the fairways and greens are phenomenal.
