Slow day on a nice course
Unfortunately our threesome was stuck behind two foursomes, one “very”senior and the other playing blue tees (6400 yds) with no business doing so. 4 hrs 45 mins later, our time-worn group rolled off the course, with scores that reflected our weariness. Waiting on every stroke is not conducive to good scores and attitudes. I doubt if there was much the course could have done to remedy the situation, just one of those things, but… have to call it as I see it.
Course was at 90-degree rule - not a problem. Fairways, greens, t-boxes in nice shape. Sand traps mostly unplayable with water from recent rain. We granted free drops outside. Brand new carts - nice, but should be electric. Still a great value course, just a bad stroke of luck behind very slow groups.
Stood the test
The course was in amazing shape considering all the rain for the past two days. We used cart path and 90 degree rule. But the course was in great shape and may the round very enjoyable
The best bang for your buck
It’s nothing special it’s got some tricky parts to it but most of it’s simple easy enough for a newbie like myself to get a few par changes
Pretty good late spring condition
Other than poor traps from recent heavy rains, and fairways still undergoing their late spring growth, course in nice shape. Weeds recently sprayed and dying. Greens largely roll true. Always a worthwhile trip to play Deer Creek.

friendly, fun, good course

42 degrees don’t care
It was a bit chilly, wind was a bit up, but sun was shining and course in surprisingly good condition for February 2. Enjoyed the walk and the round. Nothing like playing with ice on the water
Best Cheap Course Around
For the price this course is great. Greens, fairways and rough are all well maintained. Not a very tough course to play and is great for mid to high handicap golfers. Nothing fancy but a slightly above average course overall. Would recommend to many.
