About
Mystic Oak Golf Course in Waterloo has a diverse layout that seems to play a little differently each time you're on it. The layout features long, winding fairways and gently sloping greens, which are framed by a slew of strategically placed bunkers. There are also many water hazards that come into play throughout the golf course. The gently rolling terrain has subtle ups and downs that provide tricky uneven lies. The back nine is uniquely divided into three par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each. The golf course will test your short-game skills but the lengthy par 5s offer driving opportunities for long hitters as well. Mystic Oak Golf Course is player friendly enough for a wide range of skill levels but you may be surprised to find yourself using all the clubs in your bag.

Pleasant surprise
Had a great time Getting a last-minute teatime at a very, very reasonable price. I picked it based off of reviews and the reviews were pretty accurate. The conditions were great, especially considering there was a large tournament that had just finished up. Me and a few other guys basically had the whole course to ourselves at that point. Will be back. Super friendly pro shop staff.
Fun course
Beautiful course, challenging for your average golfer.
Carts don’t have GPS but for the price not a big deal. Hole 15 is horrible.
Overall I’ll play there again it was fun!
Great shape
By far, this is the best shape I’ve seen this course in in 10 Years way to go ground crew and greenskeeper your hard work shows! There are some minor Fairway obstacles due to sprinkler head maintenance but nothing that will interfere with your game. They are well marked.
Fun course
Got a twilight rate on a great weekend to get out. Hadn’t played there in a few years. It is a fun layout.
Had some rain in the morning but by the time we got out, it was soft conditions. Most teeing grounds were solid and the fairways had some standing water. Greens were again good but lots of unrepaired ball marks.
Hit the green on the island 14th hole. Forgot how odd the 15th plays with a weird forced layup. Par 3s are fun to play.
It was late in the day but we had more than a couple times when we had to wait on a worker who was doing something on the green. First nine was a breeze as no one was in front of us. However, the back nine was stacked up and a lot of waiting.
No one there to open up the course
I had a 7 tee time. Arrived at 625. No one at all there that worked for the course. Other groups ahead and me and my self found a way to get keys out of the key drop box so we could use the carts. No one there until at least 745, absolutely no one. Paid for my round afterwards. Never told anything about what happened or why. Not even a sorry or thank you for coming in to pay.
Very weird
Dumb management
5+ hour round. Sent groups off the back making the turn last 45 minutes.
Way better than the last time I played here.
Course was in much better condition than the first time I played this course back in 2022. It also helps that I birdied the first hole and shot well most of the round. There was a tournament held in the morning and the course was still in great shape even after 100s of players were on the course. I’ll play here again.
I guess business is too good
We had a 1:30 tee time from golf now. Their regular morning group did not finish on time but we were happy to wait 20 minutes to start. We played the first nine without much of a problem. We made the turn and completed hole 10 when a couple ladies told us we couldn’t finish due to a ladies league starting, they told us to get off the back nine. We went to the pro shop and were again rudely treated. He informed us we would just have to play the front again. I inquired why he didn’t send us off the back first and he said that they should have. He asked if the course should just shut down just for us. He said it’s like that every Tuesday and Thursday. We went to the first tee where it was of course backed up, we waited on every tee box. When putting the carts away we again discovered more rude people. I guess business is too good as they weren’t worried about customer satisfaction. No worries, we won’t bother you again.
Note: 2 of our foursome were playing the course for the first time, they were excited to play the island par 3 on the back.
Fun day of golf
Had tee time at 715 got off at 645 played in less than 3 hrs. A super day.
