Mystic Oak Golf Course in Waterloo has a diverse layout that seems to play a little differently each time you're on it. The layout features long, winding fairways and gently sloping greens, which are framed by a slew of strategically placed bunkers. There are also many water hazards that come into play throughout the golf course. The gently rolling terrain has subtle ups and downs that provide tricky uneven lies. The back nine is uniquely divided into three par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each. The golf course will test your short-game skills but the lengthy par 5s offer driving opportunities for long hitters as well. Mystic Oak Golf Course is player friendly enough for a wide range of skill levels but you may be surprised to find yourself using all the clubs in your bag.

Fun Course
Pace of play was a little slow on a Saturday, but had a fun layout. Every hole had its own character, not boring at all.
Really entertaining and fun layout
As soon as we finished our round, we wanted to go right back and play it again as the course was so much fun. Great mix of fun and challenging holes.
The clubhouse is closed due to a fire so not much to look at when checking in. A couple tee boxes were beat up but the rest of the course was in great shape. The greens were excellent and most seemed pretty big and relatively large. Some forced carries and there was water on a good number of holes.
No. 14 is an island green and was a blast to play. It was 130 yards to the middle when we played. Three members of our group hit it on the green, but I hit a hook into the water. Oh well, it was still fun to play!
Overall a great layout that I will return to play for sure again.
Course staff
I’m from out of town and I’ve been playing golf for 17 years. Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had with the staff of a course. They were so rude and had no hospitality. If I could have got my money back after 9 holes I would have. I will not be returning to this course.

Scenic course
Some challenging holes with water but plenty of open ground for playing even at a beginner level. Easy check in and staff was super friendly getting us on the course.
