Not Worth the Price of Admission
All Bunkers were overgrown with weeds, fairways weren’t cut, Overgrown Tee Boxes on many holes, and subpar greens aka pretty slow with plenty of divots not repaired, pace of play 4.5 hours for a threesome stuck behind a drunken scramble event. They should not have open tee times on GolfNow if they have a full course tournament being sent out at 1pm!!!! If I had known, I would never have made the 28 mile trip to Waterloo to play a course that was not in good condition. Sad for the price they ask consumers to pay! Makes you wonder where the money from patrons is being spent!?
2nd Time Playing Golf With My Son This Year
So much fun and very beautiful course - Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our foursome in front of us was very slow and did not seem to care about the backup but we had a great time - to that foursome, please do not look for balls, on Labor Weekend, on a Saturday, off of your tee box while others sit wait and watch you. Great course and will be back again.
Other than sand bunkers the course overall is in good shape. Hopefully the rough doesn’t get any taller or balls will be difficult to locate.
Acorns to Ourselves
We had an 11:40am Tee Time and there was an extreme Heat advisory so we basically had the course to ourselves for 18 holes. The course was in great condition and they watered the greens and tee boxes on the back 9 while we played. It helped the putts. One and two putts then off to the next hole.

Just an Ok Course
I found that Acorns has gone down hill the past couple of years. I give this course a chance every year and I try to love it like it used to be. While the fairways were wonderful that is the only positive aspect I could say. I cleaned every single tee box of 20 plus broken tees, fixed divots, repaired patchy areas and tried to leave the course better than I found it. The bunkers are a complete dumpster fire filled with sand, mud, concrete and over grown weeds. The price was very fitting and the staff was extremely nice.
No complaints
Extremely good value. Not boring layout. Reasonably priced. Greens in great shape. Played in four hours on the nose. Will be back.
Great bang for the buck
Love the course, fairways and greens in great shape.
Sand bunkers are unplayable and clover is approaching most greens; Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in good shape.
Great value for quality course.
The good stuff: All but one fairway were in great shape. The Greens ran fast and true. Club house and on course staff were friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good.
Areas for improvement: 4 tee boxes were in need of attention. Sand traps could use new sand and/or raking. Long hitters will have an advantage on several holes.
Overall, it is worth the 40 minute drive IMO. I'll pass other courses to return to The Acorns.
