First time golfing this course. Great layout, very well maintained & friendly staff. Scored a hot deal on GolfNow so even better value. Would definitely come back
Only with a great deal
We played the full-length course, not the par 3. This was my second time playing there since the renovation. The good news is the drainage is now very good, the course is pretty, with lots of native grasses and flowers, and it’s mostly in good condition. The bad news starts with the course itself and some silly tricks, the worst being the 17th hole, a par 3 requiring a 200+ carry over a stupid little bunker fronting the green that you can’t see from the tee — and that’s on the card as the #18 handicap hole. Also, other than new mats, nothing was done to improve the mediocre driving range, and the old clubhouse remains with a very stinky men’s restroom. There are so many better courses in the area that cost less, I doubt I will return unless there’s a great deal.
Good condition
I enjoyed playing Winnetka for the first time. The condition of the course was impeccable and the greens were perfect. I did find the course a bit tight between other holes and felt on some of them it was a little dangerous with people teeing off as we were coming down the other way on the golf path.
Great to be back!
Fun to play course! It was great to see the course post redesign. Lots of great changes throughout and the staff was very appreciative to see players comeback. Same layout and some subtle changes and some surprisingly nice changes. Love what they did and will definitely be back!

They just redesigned and reopened the course. It's in pristine condition. Highly recommend.
Tee Boxes Are Ruined
The par 3 course has very nice greens & fairways. That said, the new Tee Boxes are absolutely trashed. They will have to re-sod them next spring..
They need to teach the younger players to fix their divots and sand them. And teach the young players to fix their ball marks on the greens.
If people don’t take care of the course, it will be a dog track again soon!!
Renovation is great
This course is fantastic post renovation. Fun to play, great layout.

Starter needs to better manage the players and pace of play….
Don’t put 4 walkers behind a 4some in 2 carts, followed by a 2some in carts.
Great town course.
Challenging, narrow fairways, thick rough. Water on almost every hole. Very well maintained considering it is a municipal course. Practice facilities are useful.
100 dollar course?
It is better than before but definitely not $100.00 course!
