What an absolute disgrace of a course. Between searching for balls 15 minutes each time it lands in the rough or going airborne over the bumpy fairway, this course will take your money with a smile. The course is incredibly unkept. The rough was unbearable. When searching for a ball 5 feet from the fairway, I think my group lost 10 balls. There were leaves on the fairway that had to have been from March. This course hasn’t seen a lawnmower in ages. Was expecting a lot more. Bartenders were pretty cute but besides that pass on the course.

I’ve played this course many times but this was a terrible experience. It seems like the course hasn’t been maintained in over a month. The fairways are like rough and greens are extremely uneven.

Don’t know what’s going on with the grounds crew but it’s UNPLAYABLE.

Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.

There is no way you could convince me this course owns a lawn mower. Fairways were like shag carpet, rough was worse than winged foot. What a joke. Not to mention all in the round was like $70 with a cart. Could have played harborside for that same price... you know or hit a golf ball around a public park. Would likely be better kept.

The rough was so thick that we spent some time looking for our balls that could've been easily found if the rough was kept shorter. The pace of play could be faster if the rough area was mowed shorter or more often.

Hidden gem of a course. Greens keepers and maintenance do a fantastic job and the place was in great condition. Target golf at its finest. Would totally recommend and they have a par 3 course for practicing short game.

Great facility, great short course and nice people.

Grew up playing the par 3, have been playing the 18 for the last few years. It is sad to see that they have stopped taking care of the course. Golf has exploded since the beginning of Covid, you would think that the community would want to invest and keep the course nice. Weeds everywhere, rough that is too long for a public course, patchy grass, etc. Vert disappointed to see what has happened.

Would push the ball right off the fairway into the rough and know exactly where the ball landed, yet when we would drive up, we were still spending a few minutes looking for balls. Completely unnecessary in my opinion.

What used to be a lovely course has taken a significant step back compared to the other courses in the area. Will not be coming back for some time.

Like the lay out tee to green. Interesting dog legs & water over par 3s. Some trenches for water holes kind of hokie. Can be tough to find your ball in the tall rough. Overall, like the course.

I golf almost every day. Have seen a lot of courses and at a lot of staff that run courses. Winnetka is always a pleasure doing business with. Always worth the money and always treated like a paying customer should be. Definitely recommend this course if you are an avid player.

Reviewing par 3 course.

The short layout is nice, very environmental friendly.

Since it was a beautiful November day, lots of golfers and you will have slow pace of play. Considering many different types of golfers of mainly higher handicaps play, the conditions are as listed, so it may not be the grounds crew fault for that.

Very homey type feeling here, lots or polite solid red blooded Americans that frequent this course, unlike the sesspool of dirty politics in the city of Chicago, land of the illest noise.

Thanks to the manager for the post par 3 round bucket for the range, it was needed and I'm glad an honest Abe could tip your lunch for the following day. Would recommend Winnetka recreational area here, lots to do and plenty to be thankful for!

Look elsewhere. Staff very rude. Course not even worth $20

Beautiful course, looking forward to playing it again. I would have given 5 stars to the course conditions but they had just aerated the greens two days prior. Still, the greens were in good shape especially for them being aerated two days earlier. The older gentleman in the pro shop was a pretty miserable person. I asked about getting a separate cart for myself and my friend golfing due to covid and was told in a very angry demeanor “Well is it this really necessary?? You know we only have so many carts!!”

Had a blast playing the course for the first time. Challenging in parts. Only complaint was around the greens as they just aerated them, and they were hard to putt the reads. Overall great place to play golf, and it was very scenic too.

Winnetka is a good course that you have to know in order to score well. Driver is necessary only 4 holes. There are some tight landing spots on tee shots. You have to know where to hit your tee shot...if you hit through some fairways you will end up in the water.

I like the course but am disappointed in the service. I originally made a time for 4 people and was charged for 4.

However I ended up having to change it to 3. When I checked in they did say they had me down for 3 people. A week later my card was not yet credited for the switch from 4 to 3. I asked Golf Now to help. They got in touch with the course, and the course said I checked in with 4 people which is not true. At this point it is my word against theirs and I have no way to prove I ahd 3 people and not 4. It is very disappointing that I had to pay for a person who did not play.
