Sugar Ridge Golf Club
About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Fun course.
I really enjoyed playing this course. I have played it several times. Seems like it's always well maintained. They are currently making a lot of improvements. Greens were in excellent conditions as well as the fairways. Pay to play with a little rough the day that I played. There was a group of six that were holding everybody up. They were playing their own ball and playing very slow. Other than that, nothing to complain about. And the summer, they open the tiki hut outside of the clubhouse. It's a cool little hang out for a mid-round drink or snack. Also, is a great place to sit around and shoot the breeze with fellow players afterwards.
Terrible waits
1106 tee time, teed off at 1142. 4 holes took 1hr 40 mins. Pace of play was HORRIBLE. Every hole had no less than 8 carts. Terrible scheduling supervision and inability to push along the groups causing issues
Very fun course
A little upgrade construction and some soft conditions with our Spring weather but still a lot of fun and beautiful course. Definitely coming back and bringing friends along to enjoy.
A few weeks away from being in great condition
Sugar Ridge golf course continues improvements. The fair ways are still dormant, but overall the course was in good condition. They are repairing many cart pass and cleaning up overgrown area. This is going to be a go to golf course for me this summer.
EXCELLENT PLACE TO PLAY
It's a super fun and challenging course. Each time I've been there, it has been in great condition. I only gave 4 stars on course conditions with this review for 1 reason. They are currently doing some work on a handful of the holes and car paths. It meander thru a residential neighborhood and that is expanding. All in all, it's one of my favorite courses in a 50 mile radius of where I live.
Wonderful & challenging course beautiful scenery around holes your up in the hills… definitely would play again when visiting Lawrenceburg IN… nice staff too….
They’re rolling alright
Play here quite often but it has been a little over a month since I last played and these greens got quick! True roll and loved it but wanna talk about a bad first hole haha course was great for me
Fantastic Course
Course layout is pretty cool. You have to drive through a new suburb that's currently being built. Course is well maintained. Staff was super friendly. They have a Tiki Bar with a decent selection of food and adult drinks. I'll definitely be returning to Sugar Ridge in the future.
What drought?!
I'll tell you what, for being in such a drought, this course is in amazing condition. Been playing here quite a bit lately and I never get tired of playing here. The staff is friendly, the course is challenging enough. Best of all the greens are nice and green and roll consistent and probably just as important to me the tee boxes are even in good shape. If I had one negative thing to say it's that the cart path is about due for some attention but I would not let that keep me from playing here. Nice job greens keeper!
