About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Great day, but groundskeeper needs to relax
Awesome day for golf but for some reason the groundskeeper kept interrupting me with wanting to treat the greens. This needs to be done early before I get there. I teed off @ 10am. Very rude of him bit besides him e ery thing else was perfect

They're not set-up for tap pay! Bring cash and/or credit card. Awesome golf ⛳️ course
Super Slow
Course wasn't bad but the the pace of play was terrible, it took us 6 hours to play our round.
Layout
They built a suburb throughout the course. The course is all split up with long rides between holes. Hilly and rough conceals balls too easily

For a shorter course this is awesome. It’s challenging and fun. Some risk/reward holes makes it fun. Staff is great. This is the 3rd year in a row I’ve done a Reds/golf day and it keeps getting better.
Great Time
The only thing I had negative was one hole on the back nine, fairway was dead. Great staff, even lent me a putter which I forgot in my other bag. Lol.
It’s been a few years since we played SR
I moved to Florida a few years ago after both my wife and I played SR on a regular basis for over 10 years. We both ❤️ the layout as well as the view from several holes. It was great to see and get caught up with several of the SR staff. They are all great and friendly. There were a couple of nice improvements made to the clubhouse as well as the addition of a golf app on the carts. It kept us informed as to the pace of play and yardage. I also like the fact that they still utilize rangers on the course. I have yet to see any rangers on any of the courses I play in Florida. 👍
Beautiful Day
I played alone and there was one gentleman ahead. The weather was great. The front nine was really nice and just one hole on the back nine that had some dead areas on the fairway. That was it. I forgot my putter in another bag and they allowed me to borrow one for the back nine. Great people. I would definitely play again and recommend it to friends. Thank you for a great round.

Great landscape
The course was great and had lots of cool landscapes. But the Marshall followed my group for the last nine holes and made it not as fun because of him watching us the entire time.
Big improvement
Since my last review the course has improved a ton. Greens rolled consistently, fairways and roughs were freshly mowed, and tee boxes were level. I really like the new gps units in the carts, let's you know where players are in front of you which is nice because there are a quite a few blind tee shots. Highly recommend this course.

Poorly managed
After a week of a lot of rain…Knowing pace would be slower, there were way too many tee times. We pulled up to the first hole and there were 3 groups waiting to tee off during our tee time. It took 3.5 hours to play 9 holes. We didn’t even finish 18. We just went home because it was ridiculous.
