Sugar Ridge Golf Club

About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

The Challenge of Sugar Ridge
Love this course. It's a challenging course that has hilly terrain and requires quality golf shots. The greens are in good shape and a pleasure to putt on. Give it a try and bring an extra ball or two.
Should be cheaper for what it is
The course rolls through random parts of an under construction neighborhood. The tee boxes were not very well maintained and there was white weeds all throughout the fairways and course, making nearly impossible to find any ball that isn’t straight down the fairway.

We apologize for your experience and appreciate your feedback. We are committed to addressing these issues and improving the course conditions.
Excellent course for the price.
For the price this is a great course. The course was challenging and had some nice views. The carts have GPS which wasn't expected at all. A few of the tee boxes could use some attention but the fairways and greens were in great condition. I will definitely be golfing here more from now on.

Thank you so much for the great review. We're thrilled you enjoyed the course and its amenities, and we look forward to seeing you more often!
GREAT COURSE!
We played on 08-10-2024. The course was in amazing shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens looked great! I went with a friend, and he and I for paired with another 2some. They were great to play with. The pace of play was a little slower than usual. No problem though. That allowed our group to play leisurely and also play our own shots. There was no need to play scramble or best ball. The course layout is fairly unconventional. There are some nee rputes tonthe cart path, due to the expansion of the neighborhood which winds thru the course. Driving theu there is a fun ride though
a lot of great scenery. The service at the Tiki Bar was fantastic. We grabbed some swing lube before teeing off then grabbed another refreshment at the turn. Great staff and an excellent atmosphere. One of my favorite public courses to play. 10/10 would recommend and I will most definitely play there again.

Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear the course was in great shape and that you enjoyed a relaxed round with your group. It’s awesome that the unconventional layout and scenic cart paths added to the fun. We’re glad you had a great experience at the Tiki Bar, too. We appreciate your recommendation and can’t wait to welcome you back for another round soon!
Summer Spectacular
Alway been a fan of the layout. Greens were firm and fast. Paired up with 2 ladies and though course was a little crowded. Groups moved pretty steady with only a short wait on tee boxes rarely waiting for approaches. Good bargain through Golf Now and highly underrated.
Greens
The greens keeper drives right over the middle of the holes. Leaves huge tire marks on both sides of every hole.
Great day
Teamed up with another single and it was a great round.

We’re thrilled to hear you had a great round and enjoyed teaming up with another player. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I’ve been playing this course for 12+ years and love everything about it. It’s worth the 45 minute drive from Cincinnati, and is always a good time. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone in a 45 minutes radius. Thank you to the Sugar Ridge employees for a great experience and many more to come.
Thank you so much for the great review. We're thrilled you enjoyed the challenging terrain and well-maintained greens. We hope to see you back on the course soon!
