About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Always great round!
Ever since we discovered this jewel, this has been a great round and well worth the drive from the Miami Valley area! On wet or frosty morning, there is generally a backup on the #1 tee, but it generally moves pretty good, once your off. On windy days, this is a very challenging course. I wish I lived closer, so I could play it more!
Great Staff/Tough Course
Staff was more than friendly and helpful. Long drives between holes and fun, but tough holes
Needs some TLC
I play at Sugar Ridge quite often, it is one of my go-to local courses. I normally have nothing but good things to say, but this time out was a little rough. The first two holes are in pretty bad shape. Very wet in a few places. Looks like they may be having trouble with washing out from hard rains The greens are rolling decent and the aeration holes have for the most part healed over already. Some of the tee boxes and fairways could use some help. The back nine was in pretty good condition short of one or two holes. With that being said this is a really fun course, very nice design, price is good, the carts are in pretty good shape and I'll be back for more once it dries out a little bit!
Very good
It was slightly cold just cause we played in the winter but no one was there and it was very fun to play 18 for a good price. It is also a very fun course, a good variety throughout the course.
Cold but enjoyable
Not often your car is the only one in the golfer’s parking lot. Just shows my commitment or ignorance. Obviously pace was not an issue. LOL. Thus the staff was great since I was a lone wolf. Overall this course was in good winter shape with winter rates being a great bargain. Not my first visit here and though over 30 miles from my house, with the bargain and enjoyment, not my last.

Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed talking to the ranger. Beautiful day that made play enjoyable. Greens had been aerated but still rolled true. Love to play it again!

Terrible condition
Besides a few holes, the place is in terrible shape. Also over priced on weekends.
