About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

We played SR at a good price. Pace was slow but course was in good condition. I enjoy playing there and recommend it.

Terrible condition
Besides a few holes, the place is in terrible shape. Also over priced on weekends.

Great course, will come back !!!
First time playing the course and we were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful scenery, the clever lay-out of the holes and the many challenging holes in the course. Fairways were perfect and the greens perhaps a bit too slow, they seem to have been cut not that short.

Course was in terrible condition
Tea boxes were unlevel, roof was burnt out and head bare patches everywhere and the greens were in terrible condition.

Great round at Sugar Ridge
This was the first time we play this course and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the course lay-out, especially the front 9, some of the holes are beautiful and tough to play. The course was in good condition , esp the fairways, the greens were a little bit too slow as they were not cut short.

Slow play, average condition of fairways, greens and tees. Poor course management.

Corse in great shape
Fun the course great layout greens in great shape. Only problem they let 6 golfers go out out together and slow the whole course up they wouldn’t le two somes go through.

Great Value
Most courses in the area comparable to this one are $50-$60+. Was able to play 18 holes today for $33.
If you're looking for country club boxes, fairways, and greens... then look elsewhere.
But if you want to play a well maintained public course that plays very forgiving, then this is the place.

Booked 18 holes and got out there and they had leagues on the front nine. Had to play the back twice.

If you like putts that bounce, tee shots where the ball is below your feet ,no carts on unkept holes and absolutely 0 hot food on Sundays ( concessions said Sundays are bad days for hot food) then this is the course for you!!! Who wouldn’t want to pay 35 bucks to absolutely hate the course you choose.
Once apon a time this course was great and the staff was amazing but I think it’s time to take the “usga” plaque off the wall. This course is terrible from the tee box to the green just nothing but a bad time …grounds crew is non-existent and staff that cant wait to not help you.
