Sugar Ridge Golf Club
About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

help me understand
help me understand how it cost 23 dollars and we asked for a raincheck after 9 holes because of the rain and lightening but i only get 6 dollars back for each player i paid for. Why wouldnt i get half bck of the 23/? please let me know. Bernie
Decent course
Pace of play was horrendous 6 hours for 18 with a cart. People behind us hit into us about 5 times and didn’t say sorry or even acknowledge that they hit into us. The staff was amazing very nice, course was in good shape, greens were phenomenal just wet so can’t complain too much. Course layout was fun and challenging
Sweet!
Drove an hour. Well worth it. Challenging but good places to miss. Drained well after days of rain. Not sloppy at all. Had a great time. Will definitely return.
New carts!
First round of the year! Sugar Ridge was in good shape for February, greens were pretty quick. They have invested in new carts this year so something else to look forward to. Great time and just over 3 hours to play 18.
A lot of improvements
This course has been going through major improvements over the last couple of years. Overall it is short course but still challenging. There isn’t a driving range and only a small practice green.
Great layout, great people
Fun course, with both challenging and easier holes. A good balance with some good views. Friendly staff, I will definitely be back!
Conditions Good!
Best conditions I’ve played at Sugar, especially the greens. Nice to see.
Greens are not good now.
The fairways were excellent. However, primarily due to the lack of rain, were hard as a rock and not at all smooth due to ballmarks. I recommend the course, just not until until they get rain.
Surprised
Course was in amazing shape!!! Greens were soft but fast! Going back this week lol
Great Course (not necessarily for Seniors)
Beautiful green fairways with lots of HILLS making it difficult to traverse if your old or have any physical limitation. Greens are extremely fast like putting on glass.
Great course, horrible players
Course is nice and fun to play, but the pace of play really sucks. People hitting 2-3 times hoping to get a good hit is stupid. There is a line behind you, then pick up the pace or get off the course.
Good course, horrible pace of play
People golf too slow, take multiple shots when tee boxes are backed up. Majority of players are inconsiderate of others. Staff is very friendly. They prob should space their tee times to 12 mins apart and no 5-somes
Great value, fun course
Great place for a round. Price was reasonable. No range but a very solid course overall. Staff was extremely friendly, greens were fast, can’t complain. Will be back!
