Woodbury Golf Course

Definitely need help with how to cut, maintain fairways and tee boxes! There's not much difference between rough and fairway grass heights. Other than that greens are decent except for a few in rough shape. The price could be better but it takes money to improve a course and better equipment, people to maintain it. I'd play again.

Great value to play at a local course, with cart. Quick round and satisfied us with a full round., good mix of par 3's, 4's and 5's. We're not picky. Slow greens, some rough spots on the greens, older carts. If you are looking to get out and swing on a nice day, great course. Elevated greens do provide some challenge. Don't judge for a 16.99 GN deal, less my $ 10 reward.

Got a good deal but it will have to be again to play here again. Tee boxes and what they call fairways were bad. Don’t think mowed for awhile. We had a six some with 4 carts 2 ahead of us and when asked staff if allowed that they said sometimes.

This had to be the worse course we have ever played. No fairways. Couldn't tell the difference between rough and fairway. Greens were so chewed up it was hard to putt. Tee boxes were missing chunks of grass and uneven. No rakes in bunkers and it looked like a horse had trampled through them. I was disgusted even just paying $25. It's wasn't worth $10.

Woodbury is my go to course. Quick play, friendly staff, and a challenging course. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Not sure we will go back, couldn’t really tell the difference between the fairway and rough.

Greens were NOT in great shape, some had weeds, some had bare spots and a few had the sprinklers on while people were trying to play in middle of the day.

If it wasn’t only $14 to play through GN I wouldn’t of been happy.

I was looking forward to playing this course. I hadn’t played the course for probably 25 years, but did grow up on it, when it was under previous ownership.

The clubhouse is very nice and clean with adequate supplies. Perhaps there was staff that did not show up to work or something. There was one lady who I observed getting carts ready and then had to check people in inside the clubhouse. I’m hoping that because she was so overwhelmed, that was the reason that she never smiled and didn’t give off a feeling like she enjoyed being around people. Perhaps she was just having a stressful morning.

In terms of the course, Wish the ratings could be broken into sections. The older part of the course (the front nine) had MUCH NICER greens and nicer fairways. Greens on the back nine had many greens which had large portions of dead grass. Not sure if too much or wrong fertilizer was spread or not.

In terms of the fairways are concerned, again much better on the front nine. I was very disappointed in the large amount of crabgrass that comprised of both fairways and roughs throughout the entire course. Probably the worst case of crabgrass that I’ve ever seen on a golf course.

If this problem was dealt with, it would greatly improve the playability of the course and your enjoyment.

It is a great layout with a much more difficult back nine. Hopefully, it can get back to the beautiful course that it once was.
