COURSE WAS IN NICE SHAP
The course was in good condition and speed of play was good.
Greens must have recently been aerated and were a little bumpy but that is to be expected this time of year.
Good Course
The hole's where challenging and lots of fun to play, We had a good group that didn't care that we were not that good.
Fall golf
Shoreline is an older course that has maintained it's integrity. Reasonable challenge for the recreational golfer. Course was clean and well mowed, fairways were in great shape - due to the recent aeration, the greens were bumpy, but the plugs were gone and it appeared they were rolled. Bunkers had decent sand. Shoreline has a good mix of challenges and there isn't any hole that I would say was crazy-difficult. Overall a very good course for the money. They have a nice facility for outings and gatherings also.
Love the course
Great course..It is in great shape, it is a challanging place to play but rewarded with accurate shots
Good - can be slow at times
Great staff and the course has fun twists and traps. Staff is fantastic, friendly and of great attitude. Played on a holiday weekend so pace was a little painful at times but nothing unreasonable.
Great course. Good price. Helpful staff.
Been golfing here for 10 years and have had great experiences.
Great little course
Had a great day again at Shoreline. The course is well maintained and offers great value. It is not difficult as it is relatively short and there is not a lot of opportunity to get in trouble. Will definitely play it again when visiting Omaha!
Great course for all skill levels
As a player who enjoys the occasional great shot and can live with the bad, the trees on this course made losing golf balls happen significantly less. This is not like courses in omaha with large amounts of tall grass you will never be able to find your ball in, much less hit out of. It has tons of mature trees that really shape the fairway and help keep you in play. Highly recommended for amateurs.
This course is well maintained and I'd play it again.
The course is relatively flat and well maintained. One has the opportunity to lose a few balls, but shouldn't lose many. There is a good mix of par 3, par 4, and par 5 holes. There are sand traps and water to deal with. It's a good course for a relative beginning golfer like me.
Challanging course
I forgot how challanging this course was, staff worked with us and marshalls on course maintained the pace of play. Nice to see that.
Lots of wildlife also, with all the trees and water. What amazed me with all the trees and shade how good the greens were.
It's a course that makes you think about your shots, its not just load up the driver and bomb away.
My wife and I had a great time.
Erica who was on the beverage cart was very nice and was there when you needed her.
Greens and Fairways
The greens were "pristine". Very fair and great shape. The fairways were beautifully maintained too. I used golf there a number of years ago in a league. I'd say the improvement was exponential re the course as well as the clubhouse! I'm heading back there asap.
You must hit a variety of shots
I played with my father and had a good experience. The course was in really good shape except people were not repairing their divots in the greens. Also there was a lot of "spike" marks on the greens. Must of been some fellows who don't respect a golf course. I did see a guy yelling and throwing his clubs around like it was their fault he can't hit the ball well. The refreshment person in the cart was very friendly and cute.
It was a fun and enjoyable course
This course offered everything for a senior golfer. The 5472 Yard field was easier than some other short course clubs. The carts were well maintained and handled easily. The course itself is great to play for it's different views. The lake and the canal would make you believe you are not in Iowa or Nebraska. I plan on bring my wife to this course, so she can experience it's magical qualities.
This course is sneaky challenging
The course was in excellent condition considering the amount of play it gets. Greens were slow but smooth. From the tips it was very challenging. Hole No. 1 was a little tricky. Otherwise, it was a nice walk with quite a few holes being a good challenge. The pros were very cordial and the cart gals were excellent.
Good Value
Course was fun and in pretty good condition, especially for the cost. Very busy though, lots of waiting.
best part is that it's right on carter lake
Decent course, great value. Seemed a little narrow, compact.
While we're young!!!
This course requires accurate tee shots due to large tree branches on approach shots! If in the trees off the tee, take your medicine. The front 9 is fairly tight off the tee. The back is a little more open off the tee. The 18th into the wind can be a beast because of its length.
The greens are generally flat except for the 15th. The rest slopes from back to front and roll pretty true. Stay under the hole and you'll score well! Greens are usually in good shape for the number of hackers who play here.
I've only played 18 holes under 4 hours once in 20 rounds. It was 95 degrees and the US Sr Open was in Omaha. Otherwise, prepare for 5 hours EASY!
Finally, I shot a 75 including 4 birdies on the back 9. I will be back! Good Luck!
Bring the whole bag
Shoreline keeps you on your toes. Course was in really good shape, greens were soft, and overall one of the better pub courses in omaha
Well taken care of.
Great but plays long. Rough makes it tough to get on the green in regulation.
