Overbooked
Course was great with a variety of distances, challenges and so on. $55 is a fair a reasonable price to ask for this course. The problem is they waaaaaay overbook and can’t solve simple problems to resolve the backups. By hole 3, there was about a 5 minute back up. By hole 5, I was on the hole with two foursomes (none of which let me, a single, play thru). At hole 10, I ask the staff if I can just replay the front 9, as there was no delay. They acted like they had never heard of a “back up.” I explained that there’s already 2 foursomes on hole 10 and only 2 people on hole 1. Five minutes later they are still trying to understand why i didn’t want to play the back nine. Was told that I’d create to much of a delay for everyone. So, I wait 15 minutes at hole 10, and about 10 minutes at every hole after. By hole 18, the couple that I tried to join at hole 1 were already a few holes behind me. Insane that 18 holes took a single (with cart) almost 6 hours, because adding a 3rd to a pair was too complex compared to adding a ninth to an eightsome? Won’t be returning.
Still one of my favorites!
Course is in great condition. Greens were fast. Enough trouble to keep your attention. I have played this course over 4 decades, still one of my favorites in the area.
Wildlife everywhere, cranes, turkeys, hawks, deer. You can hear them everywhere.
I’ll be back.
Great Muni Venue
The course is getting a little deadpan.
Fairways and greens were fair.
Tee boxes were dried out slightly.
Overall good experience, great layout and excellent staff!
Great course for me and my golf partners.
One of my partners is physically handicapped. They graciously provided us with a flag for our cart so we could drive closer to the greens for him.
