Not worth the money....
Greens hadn't even been mowed that day...and hadn't been rolled since they punched them it appeared. Tee'd off at 11.00am and had to putt through dew for the first 7 holes, and it was 70 degrees outside. For $50, the course should be in better shape, considering you could pay the same rate at Ironhorse and play a much better course. These greens are the worst in Kansas City right now.
My favorite course in Kansas.
I play Deee Creek once or twice a week depending apon my work schedule. Golfnow.com usually has a tee time for $28 around the time I play. The course is in great shape, the greens are always well taken care of and the teaching pro is always friendly even to younger guys like myself. If playing by myself I can finish a round in 2.5 hours. On the weekends I plan to spend 5-6 hours a round as it gets pretty busy and often times backed up and slow depending on the weather conditions. I choose DC over iron horse and falcon lakes. I'm from the Missouri side and I compare it to Tiffany Greens, Stone Canyon, and Winterstone. Fix hole number 7 tee box and roll the tee boxes so that they are smooth and Id give this course 6/5 stars.
Challenging course
Fun course with a staff thatbis excellent.
The staff is the reason I repeat playing this course.
Course is challanging with the number of sand traps and creek beds.
Typical fall conditions with the leaves, especially in the sand traps. Greens were recently aerated. Pro shop staff is so - so.
Very challenging course & always in good condition. Will play here whenever I can find a good deal on golf now!
One of my favorites in the KC area! Top 3 along with Ironhorse & Prairie Highlands.
Just aerated greens, so not true measure of course
No drinking water on the course and filthy water in ball cleaners was frustrating. Overall course conditions about average for fall. Lots of leaves and the aerated greens made the round less enjoyable than it would be in the spring or summer. Overall it was a good time, though. Not real impressed with the beer selection in the bar.
It was a fun couse to play.
This was the first time I play here. It was a fun change from the courses I normally play. The greens have lots of undulations in them. It would be a definitely advantage to have played the course before.
There are three disadvantages: 1) The greens were aerated
2) The pace of play was slow - Due to a tournament. Started out in a twosome and ended up merging with several groups by the 12th hole. 3) I would not pay full price to play this course.
Great course with mature trees and lots of creeks running through the fairways
Loved this course. Can't wait to play it again with friends
this course has a great design- very good shape-
Deer Creek is one of the best golf courses in Kansas City
Gotta go back.
This course is currently above my level of play. I gotta go back, however, because it was so much fun and I find I get better each time I play a course.
Challenaging but fair
Add 5 strokes to your handicap before you tee off and that's where you'll end up your first time here. There are definitely some excellent scoring holes but if you haven't played to course a few times you will be at a disadvantage. The course is always in pristine condition, can play a little slow some days. My only criticism of the course is that there is NO DRIVING RANGE.
The course is a great track.
The course is challenging at all levels. Wonderful place to play.
Great Course
One of the best Courses I've played in Kansas City Area. Greens and Fairways were in great condition considering the dry weather we had this summer.
This is a challenging course
This is a good course that will challenge the average golfer. There are some parts of the course that need to be better maintained but overall it was a fine course. THe pace of play was not too bad and is about average. Never saw a marshal to move pace along. The staff was accommodating and were able to fit in a single player.
Excellent Value for a great course
A challenging course always in great shape. Friendly staff and great lay-out
