Hunters Ridge Golf Course

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course layout is great and it was in good condition. The only criticism was the traps had no sand in them. They all just had dirt and pebbles. That’s the only reason I didn’t give this course all 5s.

Overall the track is decent. There are a ton of burnt spots on greens and majority of the course is a brown tint, surprisingly with tons of early season rain. I’ve never dealt with as out of touch/entitlement behavior on a golf course. We had a group of 3 old ladies, refused to play through “the group behind them were their friends” and just kept hitting the ball into us. We were paired with a random couple and 1 of them was really really “green” to golf. They had the audacity to call the ranger after confronting about hitting into us about our pace of place , at the time 9 holes in 1:59…… legit avoid this course even if it’s the hottest deal the app has ever had.

Some course areas burned out and green had spots as well about the size of basketballs. Sand traps are not sand more like dirt and not well manicured. No cart GPS. Club house clean and staff friendly.

The course was in fantastic condition and fun to play even after all of the rain. Ranger Mark was the epitome of midwestern hospitality and offered a ton of recommendations and help to an out of town guest. I’ll probably cancel my other tee time tomorrow and come back to hunters ridge.

The course had been rained on and was cartpath only, but had several holes with standing water in the fairways and bunkers were unplayable, ponds. Normally this is one of our favorite courses around the CedarRapids area! Always a challenge for all, especially the back 9! Bring a few balls along! 8 holes have water on them! Well kept Greens can challenge depending on placement.

Golf was fine. Course was in ok shape for the end of October. Ranger seemed to follow us around. First came up to me and told me to drive on the rough and perpendicular to fairways. Crazy, on the hole in question, my ball was never close to the fairway the entire hole and I wasn’t on the fairway when he harassed me. Then he kept following us. Later, he came up to us again, and told us that our carts which were in the rough, needed to be on the cart path.

This is a nice course but not nice enough to endure being singled out. I will be unlikely to return.

Played on a Saturday. No starter. No ranger. Play was so slow! We skipped two holes to get around the apparent PGA foursome. The group didn’t care that people were waiting annd play was backing up. Another threesome followed us around them. Paid $80 to play this course. Not worth it. The cart paths need to be replaced.

This is a beautiful golf course with a vast variety of holes. From the second you step in the clubhouse you are welcomed by friendly staff who can answer any and all questions you have! Driving range is a great size with a putting and separate chipping green. I cannot wait to go back!
