Hunters Ridge Golf Course

To Play in late November the course conditions were excellent

Certainly one of my favorite courses. Nate and his staff have the right idea about golf---get people on the course at very reasonable rates and they will return! Good selection of snacks/food and a very fair test of golf!

This course was in great condition. Greens were rolling nice. We were between two groups of 5, which really slowed us down. The overall experience was good. Looking forward to next time, if the weather holds out!

Nice day out. Got out on the course no problem. All to ourselves it seemed. Everything was cool.

I play this course quite often and it's always in great shape!

This is one of the nicer courses in this area. Always a challenge. We found the greens to be in mediocre condition. They must have had an outing earlier in the day, and the folks who played in it did not repair their divots to well. The previous hole plugs really hampered the track of your putts if they were in your line.

Challenging neighborhood course that adds a lot of water and great kept greens to keep you on the round you are shooting.

This course has a nice variety of holes. It has a good mix of long and short holes. The greens were in very good condition with enough contour to make them fun to putt. Play was a little slow but was tolerable. I plan to come back and play it again soon.

A beautiful late season round. The courses was in great shape even in mid November. I felt lucky to get in the round, and the course was as nice as ever.

Overall course was is in good shape for early August and only being a week post from the Greater CR Open. Greats were a little beat up and had some kill spots. A fairly open front nine gets you warmed up for a tight challenging back nine. If your driver isn't straight, put it away and hit an hybrid instead. Traps are positioned in strategic locations to make the course more challenging and the sand is a heavy sand, I know because I played out of at least 6 of them.

Played on Father's Day after several inches of rain fell the previous day. Traps were washed out and full of water. Course was wet and cart path only and the fairways were a little shaggy. Despite that we had a great time. The greens were nice and rolled true and we only payed $34 so it was definitely worth that. I have always liked Hunters Ridge for its fast greens and variety of holes that encourage shot shaping and trajectory. Course conditions have deteriorated somewhat over the past few years but I will give them a pass this time due to the torrential we have received recently.

The course is a good value. Challenging back 9 and usually in good shape.

18 holes and a cart, got a great price, so can't really gripe; however I have seen their greens in better conditions before. In all fairness though, it's been a wet year and I'm sure the course has gotten a lot of play in those conditions. They were doing some green
maintence that day.
Also got behind 2 fairly slow groups, so as a twosome we had plenty of time to study our next shot.
Overall, Hunter's is great course to play!

This is by far the best public course in the Cedar Rapids area. Always in good condition and if people would fix their ballmarks on the greens the greens would be great. The back nine will eat your lunch if you aren't hitting it straight.

It has great views and they keep the course in good shape

Over the past couple years this course has improved it's overall condition. It used to be horrible! Grass fro tee to green always seemed like it was 1 hot day away from burning up and dying. But it appears they are starting to take better care of the course. The bunkers are still badly in need to some TLC, but most other areas of the course seemed O.K. My biggest concern was the pace of play. 4hrs and 30 minutes in and I had to drive off the 17th fairway to make an previous commitment.

I like the course layout a lot. There are few holes that really challenge you, a few with high risk/high reward, and several that are straight forward and fun to play. It's a good track.

At $35 it is a fine course. Cheaper would be better. More than that, I wouldn't play.

Was challenging and was in good condition. I would diffidently play this course again soon.

This course offers a challenge for all ability levels when played from the correct tee box. Bent grass fairways reward straight shots with lots of roll. The roughs will punish you, if you are not. The greens roll beautifully, with fair but challenging slopes.
the front side is links style golf, and easier to score. The backside is more target golf, with more opportunities for penalty strokes.
This course is one of the best values in the state - a great track for the money.
