Needs Maintenance
Basically a 9 hole course, so I found it odd that you could book an 18 hole round. The fairways and rough were good but the greens needed a severe haircut (the longest I have ever seen nationwide). Several of them were patchy and even had dead areas in them that looked like water had created grooves. Could be a real nice little course, but needs some definite attention.
Nine holes from easy to challenging
Our Sunday afternoon tee time was a joy for my son and I. With holes ranging from easy to challenging this is a fun course to play. Although not a long course, shot placement is definitely a priority. Undulating greens on some holes make for a fun/frustrating round.
Great Price!!!!
This was an interesting coarse. Fairways and tee boxes were in excellent shape. The greens were impossible to read. Very small and very hilly. The coarse layout is confusing. I played from the tips and was still able to use the driver on a few holes. The par 5 should honestly be a par 4. But again... Very small green. The staff there was fantastic. Beer was extremely cheap and the food wasn't bad. I would not recommend a scratch golfer to play there because of the skill set golfers that were playing. Lot of kids and hacks trying to learn the game. But.... I would go back especially since I bought 18 holes, 7 beers, and 20 chicken wings and paid less then 35 bucks. Not bad for a cheap date!
Great value for beginners
I took my daughter who has just started learning to play and this is an ideal course for beginners. It is basically flat and wide open, sometimes too much so as we often had to let someone play out of our fairway.
The tee boxes were all in decent shape, the fairways better than I expected. There were a few bad greens but the price through Golfnow makes this an absolute no-brainer for those .
The perfect course to learn on if your just starting out or it's been awhile since you played
I read a lot of different things about this course online mostly bad or it's to easy. The course is easy but it's long enough that you can use your driver on a lot of holes and the overall shape is really really good for the price. I highly recommend it for average golfers I'm sure to a scratch golfer this course would be a joke. But to the everyday golfer it's a lot of fun to play. I was very surprised
Also the staff was really really nice.
Great Course and Value
Meadow Wood is a great 9 hole course hidden in Burlington KY. Its in a great location in the center of town, easy to get to and fun course for all skill levels. Nice and simple hole layout with plenty of hazards. Some greens can use attention but for the most part the course is in great shape. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Meadow Wood is a great course and at the price of 10$-15$ to play with golf now you cant go wrong.
First three holes are wide open so beware of balls hit into your fairway.
It is only a nine hole course that could use a little help on some of the greens but overall not too crowded and a decent deal for $11.00 a player on golfnow.
Short course but in good shape
Short course in good shape. Great for beginners. Greens, tee boxes and fairways in good condition.
Great course for beginners.
Great course for family golfing. Much better than par 3 course but not too long for the new golfer?
Nice morning for golf.
The course was in pretty good shape, but for the last green. Pace of play was an issue, but that was most likely due to a little overbooking. As the round got later, the spacing spread out a bit. Very nice course for the money.
Great "Beginner" Course
I'm a relatively new golfer and this is the perfect place to hone your game. It's a relatively flat course with little brush on the sides which keeps the ball in play on mis- shots. At the discounted prices offered through Golf Now it's cheaper to play a round of 9 than to hit balls at the range.
This course has great features
great place to practice, easy to walk, very friendly Staff
coarse is in bad shape
I do understand this is a 9 hole coarse, and its not a very tough coarse. but the first 3 fairways are gone. if you hit a ball in the middle you are in bad shape. you will be playing on dirt/mud. when you check in none mentions this to you. no explantion is given.coarse is priced right whne you book on golf now when the coarse is green but honestly to pay to play here is really unfair to golfers
