Twin Oaks Golf Course

The course is wide open, which is great, but the staff is terrible; they were rude and bashed us for using GolfNow to book a tee time instead of calling. I wanted to leave and it ruined my day when the staff member was rude. However, since I already paid I decided to play.

This is a great place to play! Greens were in great shape. Fairway grass still needs to start growing for the year.

Love the course. Grass is nt fully in but I thought the greens were fantastic. Love the course and the people there.

Course was in fantastic condition staff was extremely friendly they even included a free lunch that day because they have leftover food from a reception reception the night before 13 thoroughly enjoy visage do this course always exceptional

I like the close because it’s open and long and everything always seems to be in good shape.

I first played this course 40 years ago and every now and then more recently. Since my first round there have been many changes. There is a newer and very nice clubhouse which includes a pro shop, cart barn underneath, snack bar/restaurant serving more than just hamburgers and hot dogs, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. large banquet center and outside porch dining area. An organization I belong to yearly holds a buffet luncheon in the banquet center which holds about 200 people. They do a very good job there and the food is excellent. The chimney from the old clubhouse still stands in the large parking lot. The golfcourse has seen several changes including redesign of some of the holes and new lakes around a few of them. Overall the course has a nice layout with well grassed fairways, greens that putt true with a moderately paced roll. There are many very large oak trees throughout the course which is guarded partially by the Licking River. I understand that in the 1930's this was a very elite country club then suffered greatly when Dutch Elm disease ravaged many of the trees on the course. Some of the oaks that stand there today are approaching 200 years old. The course is tucked away on the outskirt of the city of Latonia which also has train tracks on the perimeter and a whistle or two can be heard at times during play. Overall it is a very nice course, with a lot of amenities including newer electric carts and has a very comfortable feel about it. There are flowers and vegetation throughout the course and around the clubhouse. Coolers of ice cold water are available on both the front and back nines along with restroom facilities. Each hole has four tee box locations and there are benches on some tees. One unusual aspect of the course is there are only two par fives one on each side. For lunch I had a club sandwich on wheat toast, dill pickles and coleslaw with a bag of chips and two 16 oz draft Yuengling beers. The food was $8.95 the beer $3, both prices very reasonable. The chef even offered me more coleslaw. I have been playing golf for over 54 years and have played many, many courses and I highly recommend Twin Oaks as an all around course to play for a reasonable price with many amenities. They offer individual and league play and various outings. Im playing in a scramble there in October which includes breakfast, golf with prizes included and skins, optional fee, lunch afterward all for $55 per person. You cant beat that anywhere. My round of 72 today was from the gold tees which being 70 will be the ones for the scramble. I took notes which I will use to play in the scramble.Staff very friendly and helpful with a smile and kind words. Well done my friends.

Course was overall in good shape. A couple of greens were a bit rough but I’m sure it’s because of the amount of play. It’s not very long but it makes you manage your game or you will be penalized. The grill is also a pretty nice place to stop for a sandwich and beer after your round. Big sandwiches, good prices.

Great track, reasonably wide fairways and smaller greens make it a challenge. Everything was great. Only minor knock would be greens are on the slower side, but they were well watered, receptive and smooth. I will return.
