Improvements
New ownership has made great progress. They have increased staffing, initiated some badly needed repairs/maintenance to cart paths and landscape. Was a little disappointed when we played though due to freshly punched greens and lots of top dressing sand without any notification at check in. Most courses automatically give players a discount as an acknowledgment of the conditions too. But that didn’t happen here. The only other thing they could really use - a Marshall to improve pace of play. Our round took 5 hours, which really disrupts things.
Slow play
Course is in excellent shape. Pace of play is very very slow.
Punched Greens lots of sand. No mention of this at check in
Greens punched, lots of sand, thats fine but you would think they would tell you, give a discount? Nope!

The staff
Starter doesn’t have a clue on what he’s doing to twosomes, followed by a single and nobody behind us. Walked into the door not hello how are you doing? It’s cartpath only must’ve told me 10 times didn’t ask to see if I had a handicap sticker or placard. Must have been 10 times

Better Shape than Ever
There has been a lot of work put into this course. The fairways and greens are in the best shape I’ve ever seen them in. If only we can get people to fix their divots and pitch marks 🙁🤞
I’m a ‘play and leave’ guy, so I can’t speak to the off-course amenities.
A local coarse
This is not a long coarse but the hills and texture create a good challenge. There is nothing here but the coarse and golf shop. So no 19th hole. But it is cheap. The golf carts are very cheap. There is new management
Course is in great shape
As I’ve said in other reviews of Bay Hills, the course has come a long way and continues to be in the best shape I’ve seen it in (moved to the area 2.5 years ago).
As far as the off-course amenities, I’m neutral because I’m a “play and leave” kinda guy. My rating does not reflect the actual amenities.
Pace of play
My only concern w/ Bay Hills is the pace of play. It is a good chance when you play the pace of play will be very slow. This tends to take some of the enjoyment out of that round. The course, especially on busier days, should have a Marshall on the corse who might be able to help move things along. Otherwise the course is in very good shape and the staff is very friendly & professional.
Course Review
Overall, the staff is very friendly and the course has kept well. For those high handicap golfer, it would be a good course to play to practice; for those low handicapper, the course may be too short for you. The course design and pin position are well planned out.
Much improved
I have played this course weekly over the last two years. They purchased new carts, continue to repair the tee boxes and remove damaged trees. It’s challenging and a fun place to play.
New Management!
This course being under new management brings hope. So far the cart paths have be paved in areas that needed it. Bunker work is next from what I’m hearing. And for the first time in 3 years of playing this course, a beverage cart was out.
Average round
Price was very inexpensive for 18 with a cart. Greens were in tough shape with some ball marks, but fairways were in decent shape. Pace of play pretty slow finished the round in about 4 hr 40 min on a Saturday.

Great Shape, Fun Round
To be honest, I’ve played this course in the past when it wasn’t in the best shape. Not anymore, the course yesterday was in fantastic shape! The fairways, the tee boxes, and the greens are all in great shape right now. If we can only get people to fix pitch marks and fill in their divots, it will be even better for all.
I’m impressed with the improvements and I’m looking forward to playing at Bay Hills again soon.
