Bay Hills Golf Club

Believe they have some new ownership and I am hopeful things will continue to get better. New golf carts are nice. Staff is very friendly. Always cautious on 10-13 as fairways are right next to each other. Almost got nailed a couple of times. Greens are rough as are many t boxes. These aren’t things that can’t be fixed overnight. Cautiously optimistic. Great location. Sand traps need some help.

Positives: course staff (very friendly and helpful), golf carts (best in the area)

Negatives: cart path: terrible; like driving off road on some areas...vey old paving, broken up in many places, extremely rough.

Tee boxes: bring a jackhammer to get your tee into the turf. I know we've had little rain, but come on...

Course condition: dry...again, no rain lately but you have to do something because the turf is non-existent in places.

Course layout: one par 5, three par 3s, rest are par 4s (par 70). Some creative hole layouts nestled within a community of apartments and single family homes (not really a negative, just a description).

This is a solid public course. Although play was slow, multiple groups allowed me to play through as a single before I joined up with a twosome at the turn. Nobody seems to fix their ball marks on the greens and the latter were a bit slow, but I’d play the course again for the price and layout.

Bay Hill is challenging for all levels of play due to it's layout. From the bunkers to the water hazards, it makes you think of each club in the bag. Overall conditions are very good and the value for seniors is great compared to other courses in the area.

A great day. The course is in great shape. The greens were a little slow and the bunkers were hard. It is always a nice experience at Bay Hills.

The staff is always friendly. Appreciate you all having some Senior tee-times.

The course is good, but there is no starter direction. Golfers just go at random and there always seems to be a backup on several holes with sometimes 2 or 3 groups waiting.

A group that had a later start time than ours actually was on the tee 5 minutes before ours.

I enjoy playing Bay Hills. The course is in good shape & the staff is very friendly. My biggest concern and/or complaint is the pace of play. At times it is very slow. Sometimes to a point that I wished I hadn’t played that day. I feel the addiction of a Marshall to help speed up play would be a great plus for the course.

I have been playing this course a number of times over the past 10 years as it's only 15 minutes from where I live. Over the recent few years, they have done a good job with the fairways however the rough is pretty barren, the greens are going downhill, and the tee boxes and cart paths need help. I know the weather this Spring has not helped - unseasonably cold to cool temps, and very little rain. But the course itself needs attention. They have been VERY understaffed the past 4-5 years - at times only one person was there to check players in as well having to wash and deliver carts. And not having a Marshall or Starter has caused severe slow play a number of times - either from letting groups tee off whenever they choose and then not monitoring play once they are on the Course. On the great side, they now have all new carts so the severely malfunctioning old ones are no longer an issue. Given the amount they ask we Seniors to pay, it really isn't all that bad - but as they say, you get what you pay for. But I think, based on other Courses in the area, given their condition, staffing, care, and price to play, they might greatly improve a lot of the issues by raising their rates a few bucks and reinvesting in Bay Hills.

I've played this course twice this yesr. It's in better condition this year than last yesr. We enjoyed it more than last year ans will be frequent players.

Course is in good shape. Much better than some off the more expensive courses.
