Great day
Nice course. So hilly it was ridiculous. Had a fun time
Willows Review
The course was in great shape. Price seems fair for the course. Pace of play was very slow after hole 5. Too many groups out there at once. Some were playing very slow. Other than pace of play the course was great! Very challenging.
Nice course but slowest round of the year
Nice course in good shape for early in the year and all the rain we have had lately but the pace of play was abysmal. Had a late tee time and with an average pace would have been able to finish. I waited on multiple holes 20+ minutes to be able to tee off. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes to play 6 holes before it was too dark to keep playing
When profit overshadows customer experience
I like both courses at Kenton County GC. A good mix for my skill level. But don't schedule a company outing in the morning, and a league in the afternoon, while selling tee times. I was at the course for more than four hours, and played 10 holes. Waited to start, as the outing still wasn't done when I arrived, and later waded through league players as a single. Employees didn't seem to care, or have the ability to do anything to address the issue.
Very nice but pace of play was horrible.
Everything about the course, staff, etc. was great. Overbooked! We were a two paired with a threesome. Took 6 hours to play 18holes.
Overbooked
Course was massively overbooked. 20 minute wait on every tee-box. Saw 20+ people waiting on some tee-boxes. Shame what courses will do to make a few extra bucks. It was so overcrowded that the “Marshall” started letting people tee off on hole ten, so when we made the turn there was already people waiting in line. Keep in mind this was at 3:30 pm on a Monday. If you love being punished because the course is managed poorly, this is the course for you.
Very poor pace of play
I have played this course often, pace of play has become a major issue expect 18 holes of golf to take 5 plus hours this round took 5-1/2 hours. There are no rangers or starters keeping play moving for those that are not familiar with golf etiquette. It is also expensive for what you get, they don’t bother to clean the golf carts they are very slow in the club house.
Fun and Fair
This was my first time playing The Willows but it won’t be my last. Course was in good condition for early in the season. Only problem was if your ball landed in the rough it wasn’t findable. 1/2 or 3/4 inch shorter would be great.
Food and beverage services were excellent.
Fun but slow
The Willows is a very solid, fun, challenging course that gets bogged down with nice, older gentlemen that cause the pace of play to be really bad.
Dave and the staff have got the course in great shape!
Willows
The course was in great shape considering the drought this year. It was not very busy for a week day.
Very pleasant, hilly course
Front nine was fairly flat, back nine a little more challenging. Yellow tees are very manageable for the average golfer. Staff was very friendly, food/drinks reasonably priced.
