Willows
The course was in great condition and was good for the average player.
great golf
Great golf course will definitely be back to try the rest of the courses there. Very well taken care of clean fairways. Greens were challenging and needed the other golfers to fix ball marks but overall in great condition. Great practice greens and driving range with lots of distance.
Good Layout
Fairways and Tees full of crabgrass. That's the worst thing I can say about this course.Greens were in great condition. Layout is challenging. Back side more so than the front. Go play this course. It's a good one!
great day as always
course conditions improving, some brown areas, greens good, very warm day, pace of play ws good
Nice course
Course was in great shape. Very challenging back nine.
Tough greens
Challenging course with tough greens. Good course.
The Willows
Nice course, fairways and greens excellent. A little rolling and strategically place trees to the left side of tee box to screw with my fading drives. Ave. par four are 360 -370 yards. All in all good value for the dollar
Great course and variety
Has hills, water, sand, through out the well laid out course. Really enjoyed the visit.
Challenging Ky Hills
The Willows is a nice challenging golf course. The greens were in great shape. Super friendly staff and a great value on golf now. The only negative is the course is very hilly and a flat lie is almost impossible. You'll need your 'A' game to score well here.
The Willows
I had played the other 2 courses at Kenton County before, but never the Willows. Definitely a nice course with many challenges - especially bunker placements on some of the elevated greens. Used almost every club in the bag.
great golf day
our time was overbooked which the staff blamed on golf now, but otherwise it was a well kept course and a lot of fun
Pretty good course
This course always seem to play pretty tough for some reason but probably shouldn't. It's a good value at $40 or less but prefer to play around $30 for it. Weekends will be slow out here but its a public course so makes sense. Has been in good shape this year.
Better than I remembered
First time playing The Willows in several years and it is in much better shape than the last time I played here. From tee to green the course was in very good shape. The greens were fairly quick but didn't bother play because they rolled out beautifully. Tee boxes staggered nicely giving us older (shorter) hitters a fighting chance. Would have been a perfect round if the threesome in front of me would have allowed me to play through but they kept a fair pace so I can't complain (too much). Would really like to see a ranger on the course to facilitate pace of play a bit more. Staff was very friendly. Grounds crew actually acknowledged me several times and vacated to allow me to make my shots (very rare these days). All in all very nice day. I'll be back.
Tale of Two Sides
Front nine relatively easy to score well however back nine is very challenging with tight fairways and tough rough very nice course in excellent condition very good value.
Great fairways and greens
The course is pretty tough. The course would be great if there was no clover in the rough. Owner please get rid of clover please.
challenging course
played from the black tees slope 137 par 72.6
drove the ball 250 to 325 off tee box some spots threw 30 yard wide openings. fairways where good shape. greens where great shape
Great condition
The Willows was in great condition, other than a few tee boxes. Greens were receptive and rolled well. A ranger was changing tee marker locations mid-day (11am) which we thought was strange. The group ahead of us played a "different" course.
Pace of play was slow (~5 hrs), although it was a holiday. Assuming pace of play was due to the holiday, I would recommend this course to friends.
Great except for pace of play management
The Golf course is in great shape. Great design. Management of pace of play is pathetic. Not a marshall on the entire facility. When we complained about a two hole gap ahead to the starter at the turn he acted there was nothing they could do. Also, they will not make twosomes join up. You wind up with very eratic and slow play.
Overcrowded
Slow play for early on a Tuesday. Until Fox Run is back in good playing condition, other two courses are going to be over crowded.
