Great value
Once the frost cleared, we were able to enjoy this beautiful course. Water in play on many of the holes, and the course in great shape overall. Greens still showing the affects of aeration. Perfect mid December day!
outstanding course
Great course especially for Dec. Excellent conditions I had a womderful time.
I would play here again, but not for full price
I played in late November, so the course wasn't in top form. There were still significant signs of aeration on many of the greens--the greens hadn't fully healed, likely a result of waiting until too late in the season to aerate. Other than that, the course was in better shape than most others at this time of year. Bentgrass fairways and greens, some with heavy slopes. There are lots of large oak trees, a few lakes, and a creek that runs past and across several holes which keep things interesting.
This course was enjoyable, but nothing too impressive. I got a great deal through golfnow.com ($16 a person), so definitely worth the money. However, the standard rates here are closer to $40, which I would not consider a good price for this course.
Greens were terrible. had punched the greens 8 weeks ago and still not healed. Not enough top dresswhen punched
Good course but greens were terrible because aeration holes. They failed to put enough sand on the greens when they punched them 2 months ago. All in my foresome were very disappointed that the greens had not healed.... 8 weeks!!!!!!
Will not go back this year!
NIce Layout
The course was udergoing aeration which makes it very difficult to truly evaluate the course. To be fair we did know know about the aeration. The layout was nice with a variety of holes. Unfortunately, the rough was quite long the day we played which made for a slower pace of play. Staff was extremely friendly. One of our group lost an expensive pair of glasses, which were found later. They contacted them and mailed the glasses out of state to her home. We'll play again when we are in the Lexington area
Challenging but fair
A tough test of golf that will make you play every club in your bag. Great greens and fairways that you don't want to miss if you plan on scoring.
This course has great fairways and greens
Great course. will play it as much as possible. Great lay out and played with very little waiting.
You are the one missing out if you dont return. It has to be one of the top 5 maintained and challenging courses in Ky. Believe me I know I play about 50 different public courses each year. Im always lookin for something new nice and challenging and this is a jewel.
