This course is.....ok. Not well kept, fairways are non existent

Sorry to say that the course was not fun to play. The course was in very poor shape. Crab grass city and thin fairways. I have played this course in the past and it had been in fair condition. Sadly it does not appear to be being kept up with seeding but with what ever will grow. Too many high areas of grass that made looking for a ball impossible unless you walked right up on it. Too time consuming to look for a ball you know is there but can't find. Clumps of dead grass added to this issue. The price should have been $25 at most so you could say you got to hit that little white ball when you could find it. The $40 was $35 course and $5 taxes and golf now fee. I do not plan on playing here in the future. Thank you.

Played here twice in three days. Don’t know if the fairways or tee boxes were cut in that time. All in all still one of the best values for money in the area. Little tight in spots and unless you have driver dialed in you can’t hit it on a lot of holes. Great course for varying abilities.

The course is beautiful, challenging and interesting. Unfortunately the condition of the course left a lot to be desired. It was hard to tell where the rough ended & the fairway started. Way too many grassless patches when you could see the fairway. Only one hole,#17 was in good condition.

The staff is extremely friendly The starter was amazing in her briefing of how to play the course. Just such a shame that the course was in such poor condition.

Played my first round at Walden and it was enjoyable. A great mixture of challenging holes and those holes that more forgiving for a novice player. I'll be a regular there!

Played the course today it started out great then it got hot as the day went on it wouldn’t have been so bad but the group in front of us were playing so slow. We even stopped let them get a full hole ahead of us and we still caught them. The grass needs to be trimmed when you hit a drive straight down the fairway see if hit and know it’s there but when you ride up to it you can’t find it because the grass has swallowed the ball.

There need to be more signs out on the course where to go or paint a line on the cart path which way to go to each hole because is difficult to figure out where to go. We get to the turn and go to the club house to get a drink because it’s so hot out and it was closed even though it was supposed to open at 11am you can goto the window in the front where you check in to get a drink.

We took a long time getting drinks we tees off at 10 went to hit our second shot and the group of guy were still on the green at 10 they should have been on 12 and now we had a group of guys behind us. We got to 15 I think it’s a short par 3 all three guys had there ball retriever. poles out digging ball out of the weeds they took there sweet time very rude let people move ahead if your messing around.

Over all the course is nice like I mentioned the fairways need trimmed lots of trees and very narrow and tight. The greens are nice sizes some with lots of left and right and up and down movements. $35 with a cart great price. Will return hopefully they will get the grill back open and serve some food and drinks.

All I’m gonna say is my group of 4 lost 60+ balls and we are all 16 handicap golfers, which isn’t that bad. We played 18 holes in 5 hours and 30 minutes. Pace of play was terrible. Course layout was terrible. Not a good course don’t recommend to anyone.

We've played Walden before and have seen it in better shape. The course will come back with some care and attention.

Staff: Excellent as always; very friendly and accommodating

Tee Boxes: Good Shape, 5 sets to suit your game

Fairways: Very Bad Shape; very burned and brown

Greens: Good shape; fewer ball marks than other course; little slow, but the ball stay in line

Bunkers: Bad shape; compacted sand and some full of water.

The course for the price isn’t bad. However, in recent months, the condition has gotten significantly worse. The fairways are not fairways. They’re short grass with patches off rough all around and dead spots everywhere. The tee boxes are not in good shape either. Greens are decent but have a lot of dead spots too. Staff is friendly and pace of play is pretty good. Sucks to show up for my tee time and be told that management isn’t accepting coupons right now. The kid working the front desk was really nice about it and you could tell it wasn’t his call but they couldn’t have posted this somewhere prior to arriving? If it wasn’t only going to save me $10 and it wasn’t so close to my home, I’d be extremely POd.

It was embarrassing to be advised that there was no record of my booking through GolfNow though they let me play.

Got a great deal. Course in good shape for this time of year with greens generally quick and well maintained. This is a challenging golf course with lots of risk reward and thinking

Enjoyed the layout , none slowed us down as it was a bit cold and not much of a crowd. Course was in good shape for middle of winter
