Walden Golf Club

I’ve played this course several times in the past and it’s always been a challenging course but fair. The greens very nice & quick. The rough was horrible & the fairways were not much better. Got no roll off of tee balls that were hit in middle of fairway. Some of the fairways actually played like the rough. I understand with the amount of rain and the pandemic going on that things may be a little difficult, but to lose 3 balls in the group that were obviously in the fairway was very disappointing. Will give it another chance in October.

I'm giving 5 stars because it's local and the people there are friendly/they're doing what they can.

I play a ton and am a member at Crofton Country Club - so on Mondays when the club is closed - or we just want to play something different - Walden is local, has carts that move well and pretty good, and has strategic holes. It's a course if you shoot well you can do amazing - and also shoot vey high if you're off your game.

I like it just b/c It's something different in the area. There's nothing like this layout - and the people/staff is why I give it 5 stars.

First 9 good pace. Second 9 slow. Two teams joined at no 10. Were they authorized? If so why start at no.10 and slow us down?

It’s a good affordable course but no marshals that’s why. Maybe that’s why it’s so affordable because they don’t want to finance quality rounds.

Our second 9 were soo slow because two teams just placed themselves in front of us and there was no management to control play. As a result it took us longer to finish.

I suggest they put someone to supervise at no. 10 because this happens all the time.

With golf more popular than ever it’s disappointing to see a club little to no money in the upkeep of the course. The tee box and fairway grass was what you would expect to see in the rough areas. If you miss a fairway and end up in the rough you might as well count on dropping because it’s impossible to find your ball in 6” long grass with dead clippings everywhere. I won’t be back, dont waste $50 like I did.

Could have been a fun round. Layout is nice. Do not underestimate the poor reviews.

I’ve lager at this course twice attempting to give it a chance again. I was told it would be better but once again I was disappointed. The fairways have so many dead spots, the bunkers are not well maintained, and tee boxes look like the pavement. I would not recommend this course even if it is soon to be my most local course. Would only play if it was an ultimate last resort.

Sorry to say that the course was not fun to play. The course was in very poor shape. Crab grass city and thin fairways. I have played this course in the past and it had been in fair condition. Sadly it does not appear to be being kept up with seeding but with what ever will grow. Too many high areas of grass that made looking for a ball impossible unless you walked right up on it. Too time consuming to look for a ball you know is there but can't find. Clumps of dead grass added to this issue. The price should have been $25 at most so you could say you got to hit that little white ball when you could find it. The $40 was $35 course and $5 taxes and golf now fee. I do not plan on playing here in the future. Thank you.

Played here twice in three days. Don’t know if the fairways or tee boxes were cut in that time. All in all still one of the best values for money in the area. Little tight in spots and unless you have driver dialed in you can’t hit it on a lot of holes. Great course for varying abilities.

The course is beautiful, challenging and interesting. Unfortunately the condition of the course left a lot to be desired. It was hard to tell where the rough ended & the fairway started. Way too many grassless patches when you could see the fairway. Only one hole,#17 was in good condition.

The staff is extremely friendly The starter was amazing in her briefing of how to play the course. Just such a shame that the course was in such poor condition.
