Walden Golf Club

With all the recent rain, the course was understandably wet and the bunkers tended to be washed out. The greens were immaculate but, with all the water, very slow. There are some blind tee shots, so it pays to know the course. Overall, a very nice course and a pleasant day.

Rough tee boxes, and many rough around the edges, but hey, you're paying $50. This course is plenty of challenge, if not a little short. Good greens. "Is what it is" good little fall back and probably one of the best at this price point

Greens were in excellent condition! Fairways were "okay," but should have been cut. Several bunkers should have grass, weeds, etc. removed and more sand added!

course knowledge helps a lot but still a lot of shots that require more than standard accuracy

One of my favorite course, I played it 3 times a month last year. I cannot believe that there was not one water cooler on the course. I have no problem with a cart person was not available, but its pretty bad there was no water available.

Course. Was in great shape, only issue is some tee boxes grass is high (I just prefer low tee boxes). Pace was slow.

The fairways were tight the greens made it all worth the pain. The roughs were thin allowing balls to be misplaced quite easily.

I really enjoyed the challenge and will visit again.

My wife and I really enjoy Walden. It's our go to course when we play local. Tee times are readily available at a moderate price. It's a fun but difficult course and the pace of play is always good!

The staff attitude to a visitor was not welcoming. The pro shop was closed with a note to go to the bartender upstairs. Staff in the office was not helpful either even in giving direction to the putting green. Supposedly there was a tournament which had ended at least more than 30 minutes before I arrived since I saw most of them leaving as I pulled into the parking lot. When the guy in the pro shop finally returned, he was quite helpful and friendly. The others acted as if they did not want me there. I was there for a round of golf not to take up residence. Course layout is excellent and the greens rolled through and through. Fairways were in good condition. A very good course for the money except for the poor and prejudiced attitude of the staff.

Course is fairly short but also decently tight on several holes. A ball gobbler! Some holes there are houses in play for sure.

The geese do a better job of maintaining the course than the grounds crew. Bridges were more than rickety. Trees seemed like they had never been trimmed. Pathways not clearly marked. Quite the experience.

Course was in good shape. Greens were very good, even though they were aerated. Ball rolled true. It wasn't too crowded, but pace of play was still good. Good layout, with, I think the back nine a little tougher. Fairways arre tight, lined with tees.

Some of the sand traps need attention. Overall, course in good shape.

Horrible condition, patchy and uncut fairways, rough was all over the place, sand traps need new sand. Greens are surprisingly nice. Geese poop everywhere.

Staff is slow, they often have the pro shop close and make you go to the bar to check in to play golf, recently went up and waited 15 mins because they had to tend bar and get food and drink orders. Just gave up and left, will not be coming back here

This course will challenge your tee shots and club selection. Even short holes have forced carry and the course is tight. Course conditions in Mar are expectedly average. Greens were quick and true. Staff is always friendly. Lots of regulars enjoy after round laughs. Pace is usually decent and price is inviting.

I'm happy to see the fairways and tee boxes are making a comeback. They were full and healthy looking. I'm sure if they can make it through the winter months, come spring it'll be in tip-top shape. Greens are always a favorite of mine at this course.

One of the more unforgiving courses in the area. Lost a lot of balls on this one. Need to get better before coming back to play again! But! I did get my first eagle...so I was happy :)
