Thursday morning round
I am a 17 hdcp, 66 yrs old, and played from Gold tees. Greens very bumpy, some bare spots. Also played with 89 yr old mother in law, who had trouble clearing water In front of tees that extended over 100 yds (e.g, hole 11)...need to have a "gray" tee that help people with hdcps over 25. Some ladies tees were tilted and under trees, which inhibited swings.
Walden is very close to our house, and people are nice...but it's narrow, and long for high handicappers. So I rated it in the 3 to 4 star range.
Delightfully Surprised!
We hadn't played this course in over 20 years as we started a family and moved to Annapolis. We were delightfully surprised and pleased to find the course meticulously maintained! Unfortunately, I took ill around the 3rd hole and didn't complete any more holes (attempted to play the 5th & 6th - but couldn't make it off the tee-box). We had visited Walden one or two times over the course of a decade and thought the clubhouse looked rundown and we assumed that the course was equally in such disarray. A family friend told us the other day, they played the course for the first time and thought it was great - so we checked it out. Hope to play again soon & often.
Walden
Course was in good shape. Fairways were cut, the rough was rough and the greens changed up from hole to hole. The carts were new and the staff helpful. I HATE HOLE #2!!!!!!!!!!

Fun course for the buck, greens was different biut all in improving my game. I almost let prior reviews hinder me, glad i followed my gut! Will see then again soon.

tee areas were fair at best
greens were fair and super slow
fairways were fair and uneven
it was cheap with discounts but why go there is the course is crummy.
Need new management.
They really need to get it together there. That could be a great course if the conditions were not trash. The greens are like short rough.Tboxes same. Small and in bad shape. Won’t be back sad to say.
Greens in shambles
Playing this course for the first time. Staff is friendly and helpful. The course is tree lined which forces players to hit straight off the tee almost every hole, with no room for error. The fairways are in decent condition considering the price, but the greens are in absolutely terrible condition. They were not cut so they roll real slow, but the main issue was how bumpy they were. The greens were aerated recently but not recently enough that they should be in the condition they are.
Pass on playing next time
This used to be a decent course for the area. It has totally gone to crap. Especially the greens. Literally CRATERS on at least 5 of the greens. Beautiful day out at 60 degrees with almost no one playing the course. I saw why.
For March
The course was as good as could be for March 1st in Maryland.
Absolutely horrible
This is a good course to tear up, good for the new guys learning golf thats it though. greens are terrible
