Walden Golf Club

Walden has gone down the drain as far as coarse conditions fairways, bunkers ,greens basically the whole coarse just terrible conditions .The Hoa that runs the place needs to go out and play round see for them selves but they don’t play . Place was great under the Palmer umbrella. I learned how to play golf at Walden when it was private and I truly believe it’s a great coarse just needs some serious maintenance performed. The greens speed was probably 25 or worst.

Walden CC will always be one of my favorite courses to play because of its layout and how challenging it can be. It is also pretty convenient for me as it’s a 12-minute drive. The staff are very friendly. The course conditions aren’t always good, but for as long as I’ve played here, it has been lift-clean-and-place from

tree line to tree line because of its condition. I’ve learned how to play this course and enjoy the challenge it poses. It is definitely one of my favorite courses to play because it makes me aware of where my game is.

I took my two sons golfing for the first time in a long time. The pace was perfect, we didn't feel rushed and kept pace with the other golfers. A good course for beginners or those who want to play a course that is a good value and has a friendly staff. The only negative comment would be that it doesn't have a practice range and the practice putting green needs a lot of work.

This was my first time playing Walden. The use of country club is very liberal. This is a course literally sandwiched in a neighborhood. Fairways are very tight with houses in close play. There are also tons of trees and a bunch that hang over the fairway which isn't ideal. Lots of doglegs and blind shots. Not much water on course and no bev cart so bring your own. Greens were littered with crabgrass and large portions of the green unplayable. The young man in the pro shop or walk in closet as I call it was very polite and helpful. Course looks over used and under maintained. I think with a lot of TLC it could be a nicer course than what it currently is.

Course conditions were very poor, hence the rating.

We got through the front nine holes at a good pace, but got backed up on the back nine. It took 4.5 hours to play the round. Some of the greens were in poor condition.

It’s been a while since I played this course. The course was very well kept and the staff is friendly. I will play this course again very soon and I will recommend this course to my friends.

The fairways are thicker and taller than the rough on any other course I have played. We legitimately lost several balls that landed in the fairway. We saw countless balls throughout the day on the fairway that were cut in half by the mower because clearly this is a consistent issue. The greens had mud patches and crab grass all over. Some bunkers were ok while others were completely overgrown and unplayable. By far the worst course I have played this year.

Lots of layup holes. Condition of course was lacking. Greens were in some holes very bad. They had some type of grass encroaching onto them. Given it was very wet in some spots with some TLC could be a nice course

Fairways were in decent shape, but most greens were torn up and cement-like.
