Golfer Reviews
Just love it!
My husband and I play a lot of golf. He’s a very good golfer and finds this course challenging and enjoys every bit of it. I am just an average golfer and know I can’t conguer it but it allows me to really stretch out and “give it a go” with my woods and irons! I try my hardest and feel grateful with my score. This is our favorite Maine course whereas it’s atmosphere is casual and the staff is above and beyond friendly! I especially love the views from the 17th hole. What a spot! And then enjoy the coast and Maine at its best!
Duck Boat required
Paid so little can only criticize somewhat.
Course should not be open. Carts on front nine and walk back nine.
Left after nine. Shoes and pants so muddy.
All said would play later in season when course is in playing condition.
Beautiful course on an overcast summer day in Maine
The course is beautiful but can get crowded. Off days or overcast or rainy days are great. Pace of play is well maintained. Always a pleasure.
Fun, but slow(it was a Sunday though...)
My son and I enjoyed it. Nice greens and fairways. We preferred the back nine.
No one fixes their ballmarks!
I think they would benefit having a drink cart or at least please put some drinking water out on the course. That was rough though n a hot day.
This is a very pretty course, but the par 4s are extremely long from the white tees and the par 5s are very difficult for women as they only give the ladies a 3 yd. edge. All that being said, the course was very wet on the day we played and there was no carry. I would nonetheless recommend this course.
nice course
nice course and a beautiful fall day. the course was empty and the staff was extremely friendly. Will play again next time i vacation in the area.
The green's are very nice and is wide open
Beautiful golf course the staff were very friendly and professional services
Punta Vinny
On vacation and decided to play a nice course. 0810 tee time, got out early in the company of a local player. No one in front or behind, smooth sailing! Fairways were as nice as some greens on other courses. It is scenic and very well maintained. The town and members should be quite proud of their facility. Will be back. PS. Greens got a lot quicker as they dried out
Rock hard greens
Great course if you are travelling the Maine Coast Route 1 to points down east. (about 6-7 miles off the route) Excellent conditions from tee to green, although bunkers need some work. Fairways and greens extremely hard so take 10 - 15 yards off your distance to allow for additional roll.
Lay out a little quirky - back nine starts with 2 par 3s and then ends with a par 3. Good scenery and friendly staff. Would definitely paly again.
Very Good Course in Excellent Condition.
Rockland is a very good course to play and has two distinctive nine hole layouts. While the par 5's are lengthy and challengin, the 3 par 3's as you make the turn are very demanding with two of them being over 200 yards. The par 4's range from 230 yards to over 400 yards so the whole course is a good test. The place is well maintained and the staff is friendly and personable.
Nice Course, Friendly Staff
I have played this course a number of times & enjoyed it every time. It has a nice walkable layout with a number of challenging approach shots to elevated greens. The beautiful ocean view on the 1st hole is worth the price of admission alone. I highly recommend this course.
Very good course.
We play the course every year. No complaints, two different nines, nice shape, good all around.
great value
The course is old but is in great shape. Not a lot of dog legs and water but it is a fun layout. If your in town for a vacation it is worth checking out.
Enjoyed the scenery
I played with my wife during the week and we had the place to ourselves. We walked 18 which was very doable. Condition was good.
