Great start to spring
Bulle rock is a fantastic course, I had an afternoon tea time and was paired with a threesome of young Gentlemen who were excellent golfers the course itself is coming out of winter Interlude and aeration was in effect we played the back nine twice and was simply amazed both times the course is long and challenging I will definitely play again.
Always a gem
Played the first week of March & the course was fabulous - only issue was they had some rain 2 nights before and it was still a little wet, enough to have cart path only, which made the round play almost 5 hours, but otherwise fantastic day at Bulle Rock
It's grass it will grow
Only if they would stop with the cart path only bull. On perfect sunny days it should not be cart path only.
Great course. One day I would like to play when you can actually drive on the grass
Very Nice Course
I have played this course many times. It really it one of the best courses in Maryland. During the winter months you have to put up with "winter conditions". these include non-raked sand traps and slow greens. Disappointed that it was cart path only. I work at a golf course and there was no reason to have cart path only. The desk person said they will have cart path only the entire winter. This doesn't make sense. This just slows up play for no reason. Our round today was almost 5 hours. Way too slow. I look forward to when we the golf course is off cart path and the greens are back to normal.
Bulle Rock Golf Course
This course previously hosted the LPGA McDonalds Championship. It is well designed and wonderfully maintained. Every where you look is green. The various tee boxes are clearly designed to accommodate all skill levels. The views on every hole are very appealing which inspires me to play better golf. I really like this course!
Course was in great shape for December!
Bulle Rock is one of the nicest courses that i have ever played. This time around did not disappoint either, early December and course was in great shape. It was cart path only but that did not take away from the great experience.
Bulle Rock is a Pete Dye offering, where the front nine vibes are reminiscent of French Lick. The back nine, however, is where the course really comes alive and reminds me of his work at The Honors Course and The Golf Club.
Pronounced “Bully” - and named after the first thoroughbred race horse brought to the United States - the course is ranked firmly in the top half of a major golf magazine’s Top 100 public courses in America. A 50-minute drive north of Baltimore, it is also the top-ranked public course in Maryland.
The short par four, a staple of Pete’s layouts are found throughout the round (6 in total), including the opening hole. The par-5 second and par-4 ninth stood out to me for their strategy options. The strength of the course, in my opinion, lies in its inward half. I did not find a weak hole among them. The par 3s were very strong, including the signature 12th, which may remind you of a similar hole at Blackwolf Run. The par-4 13th plays longer than it looks and is home to a unique wooden plank lined bunker to the left of the green. The 14th had Blackwolf tendencies as well, before building to the intimidating closing hole that sports water all down the left side.
Playing in December didn’t allow me to experience the course in peak shape. I gather that the course was designed to play a little firmer and faster than I found it in the winter. The course reduces the number of tee options from five to three to aid in this. The bunkers were very firm and compact. Not sure if this is the usual consistency, but they were difficult to judge. The greens were a bit thin, but rolled fine and did not detract from the experience. Fairways and tee boxes were extremely lush.
The practice facility is world-class, with an awesome short game area that I recommend taking advantage of during the round.. the pro shop is one of the best I’ve encountered for variety and robust selection. As a bonus, everything in the store - except balls - is subject to employee price discounts for the holidays.
GPS is available on the carts. Course guides are also available for purchase.

Bulle Rock
Challenging golf course, especially for maiden voyage. Conditions were above average. Green complexes are large and can be tricky. Greens had good pace. Not set up well for walking, and they don’t allow push carts, bummer. Staff could be more friendly. Worth the hour drive, esp being as I had the GolfNow deal. In my opinion, not worth anything above the $64 we paid, regardless of season.
5 1/2 hour round
Overall nice course but play was extremely to slow.
Great Layout
Went up here as golfnow had a hot deal. It is not worth full sticker price, but if you can get it on a deal it's worth the trip. More of a links style course. Course was in great shape and the greens rolled well. My only complaint is that it was nearly a 5 hour round.
Nice course
Really nice course. The staff is ok. No better or worse than other golf courses. The conditions were great.
U
Although I played terrible, this course is fair and extremely fun. The staff was exception and the facilities are top notch .
The course ranger is very rude
We had a tournament there today. The ranger yelled at us and forced us to skip one hole. It was not our foursome that slowed the pace. In fact,we had to wait at most of the holes.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
That’s too bad. How where course conditions? Have a few buddies coming to town October and planning to play course?
