Bulle Rock Golf Club

Played a week after an intense amount of rain. Course was in pretty darn good shape. Greens were 8.5/10. Fairways were great. Tee boxes had the usual amount of wear. Due to the rain, there were large tufts of grass in the already formidable rough. Pace was good. 4:00 hours with a mid morning time. Starter was very helpful. Didn’t stop inside this round. All around good day.

From start to finish, this course did not disappoint. Starting with the pro shop and staff, the shop was well organized and had a great assortment. Additionally, the employees at the desk were helpful and courteous. The starter was also excellent, very helpful for a first time visitor and giving out a few pointers in terms of target lines for certain tee shots. The course itself was phenomenal. A really fun layout, greens rolled true, the rough would punish a wayward tee shot, and the fairways were in great shape. All in all, I’d recommend this course to anyone.

Bulle Rock is a beautiful course I hope to get back to in spite of some issues I ran into on this day. Many memorable holes and beautiful views across the property. The course was in terrific shape.

One issue we ran into was outside the course's control. With all of the recent rain, they had not been able to trim the rough in some time, and it was long, thick, and very difficult. It was difficult to even find your ball, much less advance it. That is part of the challenge of the course, but even course staff admitted that it is not usually as penal as that day.

The second issue was pace. We were waiting on every shot and finished in around five hours. I saw one marshal during the day. While this course is never going to be fast, it was not enjoyable to wait repeatedly, and I think a few slow groups held up the course for everyone.

Finally, there is no drinking water on the entire course. This part of the country can get very warm and sunny, and the course is hilly even if you are taking a cart. It befuddles me that a premium daily-fee course can't have drinking water coolers every few holes like many basic munis. The lack of water made the slow round even less tolerable since I was thinking about when I could hydrate again every hole that went by with no water coolers.

Definitely worth the round… tough course with beautiful layout

I’ve always known the course was there but had never taken the time to stop in and play. I’m regretting it now, wish this would have been my 10th or 20th time! Definitely worth playing any chance you get! I will definitely be back! Course conditions were top notch, staff friendliness was off the charts!

Great shape! Fast & true greens. Rough was 3-5 inches in some spots. Not for high handicappers. Pete Dye design. If you know about Pete Dye you know his courses are difficult and deep bunkers. The top college girls teams played there Easter week.

Amazing course greens run fast and true. The course forces you to shot shape or lay up. Hole 9 was a work of art just so beautiful and scenic. Will come back again for sure.

Great golf and course conditions, staff super nice and course layout was really neat. Greens fast but not too fast.

I am almost 71 my days of walking golf courses is over I have 2 bad knees and 2 bad hips.It would have been easier to walk then to take a cart I drove 75 minutes to get there it was dry and the whole course should not have been cart path only. No one said anything about it being or I would have cancelled but after driving that far I played anyway 2 days later and I am still in bad shape it will take 3 days to recuperate from a bad round due to the exertion the back nine was a disaster.

You get what you pay for, great design, challenging, well maintained, beautiful layout. It's a must play public course in the area.

Even though off season conditions, this is still a beautiful and difficult course. The lower seasonal sun angle created dramatic tree shadows on some fairways and greens. Fairways were green, greens relatively small, firm and rolled fast. Difficult to hold even with a high approach shot. Course not crowded on a 57* Monday and pace of play excellent. Color of rough and leaves on some holes made a white ball more difficult to spot. Usual amenities closed this late in season. Great course for a splurge a few times a year.

This course is a gem ! Try to make a plan toget there and play it - I drove 1:20 from NJ to MD and have done it many times, because it’s worth it, especially if you can get a hot deal !!!

Really enjoyed every hole. Challenging, you really have to decide where you’d like the ball to land. Fast true greens. I will be back.

Great course from the second we drove in everything was perfect. The staff were friendly, the golf carts were clean and fast the course was very challenging but well maintained. I will definitely play again and I’m enquiring about golf membership
