OK Course
Bowie Golf Course is a nice course for walking. Don't be fooled by the 6100 yard distance. Because it is a par 70, many of the holes are long. We played from the back tees and found several par 3s over 200 yards. Also, many of the par 4s were long. The course is in fair shape. The greens seems a little slow and weren't very true. Look out for a lot of goose crap over the entire course. They need to get a dog or something. Even with the problems mentioned, It was still fun to play. Just don't expect resort conditions.

Great value and good conditions
We had an enjoyable round at Bowie on Wednesday. The course was in good condition especially with the drought conditions we are having.
The $31.00 for 18 including cart is a excellent value.
First time at Bowie
Was a good one! The starter didn't know how to handle our online reservation, and when we went inside to figure out what was going on, they informed us our tee time had been moved back (it was like 15 minutes later, so, sure. nbd). Then, around the time we had booked online, we were told we were on deck to start!
The course is nice. Found that I would get myself into some serious trouble if I missed the fairways. Greens were spongy, but nice. Tee box grass was slightly long, but it didn't impact any of my shots. Nice variety of hole layouts, elevation, hazards -- a nice mix of a little bit of everything.
Would definitely consider playing again!
A typical round at Bowie. Good value for a nice layout. Pace of play was good.
Cart paths in desperate need of redoing some fairways in ruff shape greens in good shape staff always nice price is fair with all that said I still enjoy playing every weekend

Decent Practice Course
I've golfed Bowie on and off for the past 25 years. It's OK in the spring, but the grass doesn't stand up well to the heat and rain of summer. Some of tee boxes are impenetrable with a tee. The greens have the opposite problem; they get saturated. The greens are in nice shape compared to the rest of the course, but be prepared to fix a lotta ball marks on every green (typical muni conditions).
The Staff has always been the silver lining that makes the already low price not seem like a ripoff.. The Manager, John, is great. The Starter is great. The beer girls are great (and easy in the eyes!), but there's this one guy working the register that's extremely arrogant and hostile.
He actually followed me outside and tried to start a fist fight for not having my reservation confirmation with me....(like he can't see it in his system). He gave me the cart key like everything was fine, then began screaming! I thought it might be me, but others have complained about his abusive behavior and the starter apologized...that was nice.
If it wasn't for that, I might have rated the course 3-Stars, but no higher. I hope they invest in new cart paths soon. Golf Bowie one time and you'll see what I mean.
