Good golf at reasonable price.
Played afternoon twilight rates which are very reasonable. Overall, course is in good shape particularly considering all the hot and humid weather we've had. The driving range is well maintained and good value compared to other courses in the area. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.
Only 1 issue.
Overall, the course is a great place to play. I am happy to have it nearby. Too much of the course is cart path only. No Cart signs guarding the greens are way too far out. Some appear to be 100 yards or more.
Very enjoyable afternoon
First time playing this course, definitely won't be my last. Course was in great shape, pin positions were tough at times but there's no sand traps on this course. Well trimmed fairways/greens and rough wasn't too bad either. Pace of play was good, finished Sunday afternoon round in just a few minutes over 4 hours. Will definitely return with the online price (only paid $46 on a Sunday.)
Give it another few weeks
The problem with the courses in the DC area is they moved to the summer grasses so until it gets hot the fairways suck. I guess overseeding is not an option even with record amounts of rounds being played. :-/
I'll go back but once the fairways come in.
Looks great
Course looks great. This is after 4 days of rain. Drained well, was not cart path only like the rest of the courses. Nice work Eisenhower. Course is in much better shape than last year.
Rough rough
Anywhere off the fairway was clumpy not mown. Tee boxes were rough. No seeding visible. A shame as the redesign is still fresh.
Appreciate the review! Our tees and fairways are a warm season bermudagrass so still coming in after having only a week of warm weather. The soil temperatures are still around 50 degrees while bermudagrass really starts taking off at 60-65 degrees, but after this week of warmer weather they will be further along but still not going to be to the point of mowing. With the Mid-Atlantic weather, warm season grass will take longer to green up and unfortunately with the price of seed it isn’t in our budget to overseed going into the winter to be ready for spring while seeding now wouldn’t be worth it since the bermudagrass will be growing by the time the new grass germinates. Bermudagrass is great in the summer which is why it was used here for the renovation since it can tolerate high traffic and our hot and humid summers but just takes some time to come out of dormancy in the spring. Thanks Again!
