Golfer Reviews
Good value
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Rough was rough, though. Given how much rain we got, it was in a very playable condition. Groupings of par 3s were too tight (I hate par 3s).
Great Renovations
I love that there are no more bunkers but the gas kinda needs to stay trimmed for sure and the rough is hard to maintain.
Yes and no
Very nice course but had a multiple people playing multiple balls at very slow pace ahead of me. Took 5hrs for just me to finish by myself golfing after waiting. That and had to walk extremely far every hole from cart path to green. Not sure why every hole is so far away from the path and no carts signs are far from green, good 75-100 yards each hole. Other than those 2 things. Course looks amazing and staff was very nice. If you walk the course. This is perfect for you.
Nice Course
Played here a few times. Staff is always nice and helpful. Course is always in decent condition with a good variety of challenges. Would play here again!
Golf with grandson
We had a 9:12 tee time and got paired up with a 2nd year Midshipman and his girlfriend. They were a lot of fun and it made for a great day. Great experience for my 11 year old grandson.
Eisenhower golf review
This golf course has no sand bunkers, but does have many grass bunkers and mounds. Fairways have Bermuda grass and were in decent condition for the month of July in the D.C. area. Greens are bent grass and were also in decent condition. The course is hilly and some par 4 and 5 holes have hazards in the landing area that can be reached with a driver, and requiring a lay up club. I had an enjoyable experience.
Good golf at reasonable price.
Played afternoon twilight rates which are very reasonable. Overall, course is in good shape particularly considering all the hot and humid weather we've had. The driving range is well maintained and good value compared to other courses in the area. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.
Only 1 issue.
Overall, the course is a great place to play. I am happy to have it nearby. Too much of the course is cart path only. No Cart signs guarding the greens are way too far out. Some appear to be 100 yards or more.
Very enjoyable afternoon
First time playing this course, definitely won't be my last. Course was in great shape, pin positions were tough at times but there's no sand traps on this course. Well trimmed fairways/greens and rough wasn't too bad either. Pace of play was good, finished Sunday afternoon round in just a few minutes over 4 hours. Will definitely return with the online price (only paid $46 on a Sunday.)
Give it another few weeks
The problem with the courses in the DC area is they moved to the summer grasses so until it gets hot the fairways suck. I guess overseeding is not an option even with record amounts of rounds being played. :-/
I'll go back but once the fairways come in.
Thanks for the feedback, Sean! We're glad you enjoyed the fairways and greens despite the weather challenges. We appreciate your thoughts on the layout and will keep them in mind. Hope to see you again soon for another round!
