Golf now prices
We didn’t realize there was a cart fee on top the the course fee. Don’t remember the person on the phone mentioning that. I feel the charge on line should be total charge. Plus, why pay $11 to golf now when I can call the course direct.
Another Great Outing
As always, I’m very pleased with the condition of the course and the pace of play was fine. I actually walked the course and probably enjoyed it even more. I’ll be back.
Slow slow slow play
There is no reason for 4 groups to be backed up on the #5 tee on a course that is so short. For a course that is only 6600 yards from the tips - 4:45hours is ridiculous - speed the pace up or this will really impact business
Fall Season Golf at Timbers
Fairways, greens and sand traps were all in great shape.
Lost a few balls on the fairways on account of the leaves. But I know the Maintenance crew blows them daily, but you still have to contend with a them for a few more weeks until the end of October. The rough is a little longer than normal making the course play longer and again hard to find a few balls, but its that time of year. Weather was mid 50s and pace of play was on par for a 4 hour round. Enjoyable day on the course even though I failed to play well at times. Wish golfers would fix their divots , not too bad but still a few on each green.
Excellent
The course was in amazing condition. The pace of play was great. Everything was good. I just wish that it was not cartpath only but mother nature caused that problem, it wasn’t the course’s fault. This is truly one of my favorite public courses in the DMV. I typically play it 5 to 10 times a year.
Over priced
I expect higher quality for high prices. But this course is going down hill. The fairway is full of divets. Tee box grass is horrible. Overal course condition is horrible. Compared to nearby course fairway hills which half their price, never coming back.
They don’t put punched greens on the app
I come here to realize their greens are punched but they didn’t put it in the app like every other ethical course does. They only care about money. They charge premium too even when holes are punched. Wouldn’t recommend.
Solid course, but pace of play is so slow
The course itself was a pleasure. Tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers were all maintained very well. Solid driving range and chipping/putting surfaces. The only downside is the pace of play. It was painful. There was only one hole in the entire round where we were not waiting to tee off and also waiting to hit our approach shots. This includes after the turn where we took an extra long stop at the clubhouse to get food and beer.
Course under work
Front 9 was being aerated so they had us play the back 9 twice. This was not mentioned on the the Gold Now website. Probably would not have chosen this course. They did give complimentary hot dog, chip and soda for the inconvenience which was very nice. Back 9 tee boxes were in really rough shape. The fairways were good and the greens were hit or miss. Not many golfers that repair their ball marks which is unfortunate.
Great course but pricy
Timbers is in pretty good shape but has some bumpy greens and chewed up fairways.
