The spires is a great round for the price
Greens, fairways are in great shape. Most tee boxes excellent. This is a public county course that nears a lot of private and semi-private courses we play.
Solid Track
Always a good play, price to walk a little on the high side. Greens were decent going to blame the recent rain and not able to roll them. Challenging holes especially playing from the tips,.
Started slow pace but picked up
Great course. Pace was slow but passed group after we asked and pace picked up. Tee boxes a little uneven, fairways good, greens good pace. 200+ yd par 3 was brutal. I will return.
One of the slowest rounds ive ever played
The course was in decent shape and the staff seemed nice. The pace of play was awful. We had a group in front of us that took 15-20 minutes just to putt in each hole. They were so slow that the group behind us would be finished the previous hole before we would tee off. Tried to talk to someone at the course about it when we made the turn but couldnt find anyone inside to talk to or outside either.
Love My Home Course
I play all over Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Delaware. Cluster Spires is a perfect mix of forgiving, challenging and fun golf course. I consider it my home course and worth joining their frequent player/membership which is a bargain..

Beautiful course - great shape - Nice Greens
I arrived 20 minutes before my tee time. They had my pre-paid reservation inside at the Pro Shop, but the starter did not have it on his paperwork, so others went on and I sat for 30 minutes after my tee-time. However, the starter was such a nice man and said he would do his best to get me out soon and he did. He was very conscientious and I appreciated that as I was a little ticked off on their booking error. I worked on my putting skills for 30 minutes and, how about that, I had 3 birdies.
All good....nice course.
Good course and experience
Nothing can be done about the pace of play when the course is jammed.
Course conditions
No sand in the traps hard clay under 3/4” of sand. Greens were punched 6 weeks ago and still haven’t recovered. Ball bounces all over
Not Worth It
I enjoyed my time, it wasn't too bad for $48. However, just the conditions could have been better. Punched greens wasn't too bad. But, some had enough sand to cover the Sahara.
No heads up about the punched greens
Aeration
Your site did not reveal that the course had been aerated and sanded. The green fee therefore should have been around $25, not $55. Way overpriced for the condition.
