Greens were recently aerated (and filled with sand), making the greens slow and unpredictable . Overall fairways are good. And a good challenging course
The course was in excellent shape, except for the fact that the greens had just been aerated and topped dressed.
Great Value
Clustered Spires is a well-maintained course, great value for the fee. The staff is friendly also.
A favorite course
We had a beautiful day, found the course to be in great shape, and the staff friendly and informative. The pace for the first 9 holes was brutal, but the back 9 played in 1.5 hours.
Nice course
Lots of people on the course slowed the pace... Tough to get into a rhythm.
Couse is wonderful - great condition
I played here a year ago or so, forgot how nice it was. Course is in excellent shape, well maintained. The green are really nice and roll well, had 3 birdies and scored well.
Even though there was some misty rain throughout the day, the course did not suffer, 90 degree rule in effect made it pleasurable to play.

Great track, I play this course twice a year, and I always look forward to coming back.
Course was in great shape considering that it was flooded by Ida last week. Greens were slow from aeration
Still a keeper
CS is always an enjoyable place for a challenging round of golf, a great open course to air it out after playing tight courses as it is generally not as penal. Despite being closed for several days post remnants from Ida & a second severe storm with flooding a day earlier (the.course is located in a flood plain directly adjacent to the Monocacy River), the course was all over in good, playable shape. But for the traps being still flooded & a few thin spots in the fairways due to water damage, one would not know the magnitude of rain/flooding the course had recently gone through. Kudos to their grounds crew. As a native Fredericktonian now living in Carolina, I always schedule a round at CS when visiting the motherland. It’s definitely a way above average muni & enjoyable to play.

Greens and fairways were in good condition. Rough was not too tall but thick and sticky. Bunkers needed some work. Would play again

And I’ve never been disappointed with the staff or course conditions a must play in the DMV you’ll definitely come back
