Clustered Spires Golf Course

Liked playing on the course. Folks were patient considering the fact that I am novice. Might take some golf classes

Course was in excellent shape. Not a fan of the sponge to keep your ball from going in the hole. I get it is a covid precaution but hard to get use to.

Clustered Spires, while not the most interesting course in the area, is easy to navigate and consistently in good shape. The staff is friendly enough, and the clubhouse is clean. If you’re looking for a course that won’t torture you mentally, Clustered Spires is the course for you. My only complaint is that pace of play can be a little slow at times, but not enough to keep me from generally recommending this course to others.

The course was in excellent condition. Best conditions of any course I've played in MD. Will definitely be back!

Side note: my tee time was 7:45am on Friday, 5/15. The starter that morning was not very friendly, and the other two players I played with agreed. It didn't affect my round but surely it's worth mentioning.

The course was in very good shape. The only problem was the rough was too tall. It was hard to even find the ball. This slowed up play a lot. Also the ring in the hole was too big. It needed to be about an inch shorter. On other courses I've played the ring in the cup was just below the hole. This way the ball still went in the hole, but was sitting up so you didn't need to dig the ball out of the hole.

I booked a tee-time that morning through Golf Now. I showed up to play and there was a not a person in sight. The course was closed for the day. It was 45 minute drive each way and too late to book somewhere else. Golf day ruined. : (

I will not return to give it a second chance.

Great afternoon for golf. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Shaded tee boxes were hard to sink tees into, as expected for winter. Course was in good condition and pace of play was acceptable. Thank you.

This golf course is always in great shape, the greens are still running smooth and it's already December. Challenging enough to all levels of players. Fun course to play, because everything is in front of you.

Considering all the rain in the past couple weeks, the course was in great condition. No standing water anywhere in the fairways but the greens were a bit slow.

Played this course many years ago and my only lasting memory was the constant buzz of helicopter traffic overhead. Swore I’d never come back but decided to give another try.

Wonderful experience this time. Course was In great shape, greens were in excellent condition and rolled true, and staff was friendly and helpful. Course is next to municipal airport, but no plane (and minimal helicopter :-) traffic overhead.

Great value with Golfnow rate. I will return.

Excellent weather for golf. Course was in fine shape. Real gem in the Frederick area. Even more pleasing was the hot deal pricing.

Course manager needs to reconsider policy of not allowing a Golf Now T time to go off early If And only IF conditions permit, I.e. first tee is empty and there are no grOups scheduled at the last minute. If a last minute “walk on” turns up and there are no other scheduled t times to conflict I see no reason to prevent a “golf now” group to tee off earlier by sending off the “walk on” AFTER the golf now group.

I like the layout, thought it was fun. Conditions were pretty average. Not great but not terrible. The back tee boxes could use some work, some greens are better than others, and the rough is a bit patchy in spots.

We play this course often. Rates are excellent for this well maintained course. A fun course!
