Willow Springs Golf Course

The course would be great play but they have let it fall into disrepair. They claim they are trying to bring it back however I saw no maintenance with the exception of someone delivering water. There was no one working on the greens, cutting grass, racking up debris or tending to the tee boxes. Worst of all were the greens that had alien growths and many covered in debris such maple tree seeds so no putt was makeable. That would have been a simple fix to just to blow them off. I'll take pictures next round. In spite of everything I'll play again because I am somewhat limited by a handicap and getting up in age and the coursefor me is manageable.

Fun par 61. Once the fix up the greens it will be a real gem. Good value.

Greens are in bad shape....weeds, dead grass. I even fell into a groundhog hole just off the fairway. Could have been bad.

It's a good course for a beginner like us group who played there... I know it's early spring we played so can't complain too much with putting greens....

However, I would NOT use GolfNow for booking Tee times again....a really bad service and website with no way to contact if you are using the App or web version of site.

I had to modify my initial reservation and used credit once and then wanted modify again but tried to contact a person using mobile app and website, could not ask advice how to proceed with to use my credit. However, nowhere I was able to find support contact info on website or App from my phone.

So, I had to proceed with reservations hoping credit would show up at check out, instead charged to my CC instantly.

It's not fair you do not have proper information how to get in contact with you before my last transaction and to get advice before I had proceed with completing the new reservations. I should not get penalized for your choice of not offering customers with easier way to contact you when there is issues come up .. never to use this service again and would highly suggest anyone to NOT use this service.

Had to play the back nine twice due to standing water on some holes on the front. But back nine was in great shape, wasn’t crowded, all in all a fun time.

I know it’s November but this course is falling down. The greens are in terrible shape with mud cracked regions on most greens. The fairways are thinned and incapable of making a divot. Very disappointing since the course was so good this last spring. I thought it was really coming around with the new management, having a pro and upping the clubhouse to a more premium experience. But there is no excuse for letting the course degrade when all the other courses locally are lush right now. Would not recommend.

The back 9 was great! Played the front 9 recently but it was my first time playing the back 9.

The only issue I had is that the greens are in really bad condition on both.

Very slow play! Greens were not playable due to dead grass. Leaves were never cleaned. One hole it took us several minutes to find my ball due to how many leaves were on the green. So we finish the 9th hole and we thought we would make up time and the starter put a group in front of us. When I asked him what was going on, he didn’t know what to do. So $42 to play 13 holes due to bad course management is unacceptable. GPS in the carts is a good idea but I would spend the money on the course. You will get a better payback!!

This course is all par 3 and par 4’s. Its land has potential to be a very good executive course. It is a narrow course which is fine. However it is not well kept. The tee boxes are normal rough grass cut just a wee bit shorter. Its not the worst problem to have since one can tee the ball up. The fairways are same as the tee box. I think a few fairways are better. The rough is unremarkable. The greens are the worst part. The greens are bumpy and not uniform. A bunch of greens have cracked dirt patches. So there is no way to get a true roll on a putt. The greens are extremely small. The ball often rolls off if you hit the green because of the small size and the aforementioned condition. You have to plan to hit it short onto the fairway and have it bounce on. Overall I would say I would not pay over $30 for the 18 holes. Its just a place to get some practice in.

Looks like they were trying as I saw maintenance around mowing grass and going over greens but the greens are pretty shot. They have big bare spots Im guessing a fungus of some sort. Fairways and tees were fine but not overly so. Thats about all I can think of.
