Willow Springs conditions.
The fairways were deep.so deep that I lost 3 goofballs that were hit in the middle of the fairways.
The rough was also deep. Definitely want to keep it in the fairway. The rough was narrow on both sides, bordered with grass that was about 18 inches deep.
The greens, not all, but a significant number of them, had dead grass on parts of the green.
At $25 for 9 holes, I would have thought the course would have been better cared for.
Course in poor condition
Fairways and greens are terrible. Worst shape of any I’ve ever played.

Rough!
Although it has been a while since I played Willow Springs, the course was in rough shape (I do not recall it being this bad). The edges of the fairways were like a hayfield (many lost balls), the sand traps were full of 12-18” weeds, and the greens were rough.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend playing this course.

Not up to par
Every green was unkempt, weeds and bumpy surface. Down tree on fairway, and rough was way to high.

Quality Has Slipped
There were many parts of the course that had not been cut in at least a week, even though we’ve had enough dry days to get the course better manicured. Greens have a lot of bare spots throughout. The driving range was closed so it could be cut, even though it was like 4:30 in the afternoon, and had not been cut in awhile. The practice green is like most of the greens on the course, rough in spots.

Could do better
The course would be great play but they have let it fall into disrepair. They claim they are trying to bring it back however I saw no maintenance with the exception of someone delivering water. There was no one working on the greens, cutting grass, racking up debris or tending to the tee boxes. Worst of all were the greens that had alien growths and many covered in debris such maple tree seeds so no putt was makeable. That would have been a simple fix to just to blow them off. I'll take pictures next round. In spite of everything I'll play again because I am somewhat limited by a handicap and getting up in age and the coursefor me is manageable.

It's golfing....
Greens are in bad shape....weeds, dead grass. I even fell into a groundhog hole just off the fairway. Could have been bad.
