Waste of Money
This course needs to figure it out. Dandelions in the fairway, bare spots all over greens, and cart path only on numerous holes despite “fairways” not being soaked or burnt out. Lost multiple balls on the course that landed on the “fairway” or the “first cut”. Might as well sack up and spend the extra $20 to go play Waverly Woods at twilight time than waste your time at this course. Also, got cussed out by an employee a couple years back at the beginning of Covid for coming into the clubhouse with my mask slightly below my nose.
I'll be back
First time playing here and enjoyed the outing with a friend. The course was well maintained and pace of play was great. Just need the snack bar to open and it will be perfect.
Lots of Improvements
Congratulation Willow Spring Staff !! I have been playing here maybe 2 to 3 times a year over the last 20 yrs on account its only 4 miles from my home and I can say this is the best condition I have ever seen this course . Ownership change a few years ago and you can see the difference . I am not going to get into details, but the course is still a challenge and a few of the holes are still tight, but the conditions were very good. A few greens still have some issues but it did not impact my game at least. The range is closed in the morning on Tuesday for mowing which was also the day I was there and all the fairways were freshly cut.. Just note , if you miss the fairway, that 2nd cut is still a challenge in finding your ball and it helps to make a short yardage course play longer. Staff is very friendly and helpful . For the first time , I can say, I look forward to playing here again when I have limited amount of time to play. Also , thank you golfers for fixing your divots. Did not see too many today. Enjoy .
Fun design
I wish the fairway and rough were in better condition. I lost a golf ball in the middle of the fairway. Greens were nice.
great course for us old folks.
Enjoyed playing but fairways could be cut a little shorter. Thick roughs and fairways
Grass hasn’t been cut in a week
Course is nice and green but the grass hasn’t been touched in quite some time. Tee’d up on the first tee box and the ball sat on top the grass. It’s a shame because the course could be in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all overgrown and the traps haven’t been touched. Don’t waste your time.
okay but they need many lawn mowers . . . .
I have to give the course the benefit of the doubt, we have had a lot of rain in the last week, so I can't really fault the course for being long and shaggy as they likely have not been able to mow, but when i say long and i mean everything was long - the tee boxes (2-3"), the fairways (2-3"), the greens (3/4")and OMG the rough had to be 6 or 7" deep, which made all balls disappear instantly.
I have played here about 15 times and the pace of play was long, about 45 minutes longer than usually would be expected for such a short course.
Good place to use your irons a lot.
My go to in a pinch
I can get a whole round done in three hours or less. Generally the pace of play is good and you can play through people easily. Good blend of par threes and par fours. Is an executive course in a par fives so you got to have the right expectations going in but for me the value for money is very good and I play there at least once a week
Narrow cut fairways with long rough
I don't plan to ever play this course again as it does not fit my game. The rough way too long with narrow fairways You can hit a fairly good shot, be in the rough just off the fairway and lose your ball.
Great Value!
Short course, usually in good condition, fun, great bang for the buck.
Good Little Course
Great for par three and short game practice. No liquor license right now so soft drinks only.
