Willow Springs Golf Course

The course was not maintained. The greens were either dirt or weeds. The tee off area was bumpy. Leaves were everywhere making it difficult to find out balls (even in the fairway). It took 5 hours to play due to a backlog of players in front of us. I won’t waste my time coming back here again.

The course is in terrible shape! This is the worst course I’ve ever played as far as the condition of the grass and greens. I will not be playing here again this season. Hoping they fix it for next year.

I learned how to play golf on this course ten years ago. Always liked the course, staff, etc. The greens are in desperate need of repair, but if you want a quick course to play a practice round, this is it! Since I play there frequently, I am well aware of the greens condition, but it’s a great course to get in a quick (par 62) round.

I played here earlier in the spring and was hoping the course conditions have improved upon returning. They actually got worse. The greens are dry, hard, cracked dirt with little to no grass for the most part. Putting balls roll into the next county. Fairways had clumps of grass cuttings scattered around. T-boxes were beat up pretty good.

Also, the ball washers are all empty and the drying towells are hanging dry rotted and shredded. There were no water stations anywhere.

I cannot believe how bad the conditions have gotten and will be surprised if the course doesn't fold and go out of business. Not many golfers were around and there was no starter as he wasn't needed.

I use to really like this place, however until I read a few position reviews on the conditions changing I won't go back. Hopefully they get their act together. It's a neat course, however the conditions don't warrant playing there no matter how cheap the cost.

OWNER - PLEASE GET ON THIS. I DON'T SEE ANYONE WANTING TO PLAY HERE UNLESS YOU IMPROVE THE COURSE CONDITIONS.

The staff is very friendly, but ultimately, you get what you pay for. The greens are in terrible condition, and the grass is so long I lost my ball on the fairways. If you own a course, take pride in maintaining it. If not, close it. Play has slowed down because there are a lot of first-timers and kids. Just a few years ago, the course was beautiful—I'm really hoping it returns to that because the staff and the price are great.

This is a fun course but the greens need much repair. Weeds and brown spots all over, ball redirects and bounces due to unkept greens.

Dead greens, lost balls in the 3” fairway. If they get some maint staff it could be nice. Until then, I’d stay away.

Fairways and tee boxes were not mowed. Greens have not changed in several months, and are mostly unplayable.

Rain is partly to blame for some comments.

I played this course a year ago, and it was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, this time, the tee boxes and greens were in noticeably poor shape. I really hope the course can return to the high standards it had last year.

This was one of the nicer short courses I. The area up through the end of last year. Layout is still great but no maintenance of the greens and several are bare apart from a few patches of grass that shouldn’t be there. Very sad to see a course neglected like this.

Easy to book T Time and very warm and courteous staff !! Love the course GPS monitor in the golf cart. Love the course and the greens are improving. Always have a fun time at Willow Springs !!!

Only suggestion is to get new ball cleaner towels and add fresh water to cleaners.

Love me some Willow Springs !! Fun course with plenty of quirks !! Is it perfect ? No but what is ? Staff is friendly and courteous. Love the carts with the course map gps. Always a smooth pace never feel rushed !!

Not maintained. Greens aren’t greens at all. Impossible to putt. The staff should be embarrassed to work at a course that is so badly kept. Course is overgrown. Tee boxes are nothing but crab grass. Course needs a complete makeover. Entire staff should be removed and bring in all new staff and management. Golf pro should be ashamed of himself. Needs to be fired. This place use to be so good. Now it’s completely horrible. My group paid for 18 holes. We left after 9 holes. The group ahead of us did the same thing. Wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone.
